Andy Dawson was a ****ing outstanding left back.

Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest.

 

Stewart - for 2 assists
Meyler - thankfully it's not sunny today, so he can stop chasing shadows
Dawson - a case of tortoise vs hare........but the hare won !!

 

I'm one of the few who wasn't sold on him, solid but nothing spectacular. Hugely important player for us though.

He ALWAYS did that little turn to get past people when a winger/striker was closing down a clearance. Always. They always fell for it.

 

He was clever at defending corners too, he had the ability to 'stick' to a taller guys ribs to stop him getting a clear run and jump.

 

I always maintain that if Andy was as tall as his brother he would have been a better centre half.
