1-0 Rochdale. Awful give away by Winks and everyone strolling back. Very poor.

Alderweireld got his positioning badly wrong there. Played him on.

  3. Wasteful going forward and poor defensively. Recipe for disaster.
Ridiculous and some very poor decision making out there. Lucas the only bright spot.

I’m so fed up of the complete lack of effort more than anything else in these games. Why do we just think we need to turn up? Just so poor. Llorente and Rose have been particularly ****e which is no surprise.

I'm done with Llorente. So done. Might as well have 10 on the pitch.

Awful game. Son is struggling massively.

1-0 HT. Pretty poor performance overall with a couple of stinkers thrown in, too.
Some attitudes need adjusting during the break and our subs will be very important.
Really could do without using our best players today, but I think we'll have to.

    appalling...first 45 minutes.
we were lucky to get a draw at Newport and have not sorted out the problems we had in that game ... namely our lazily attitude.

They were always going to be, but there's no excuse for some of our players not being equally motivated.
Some very lethargic performances and a few just don't look interested.
    That's just not good enough.

Terrible performance. Other than Trippier and Moura no one is contributing nearly enough. Winks and Wanyama have been invisible, Toby is fully justifying his absence in Turin and Son is having one of those games where he cannot make a sensible decision for love or money.

Everything we do has a sense of pathetic arrogance about it, from the needless pissing about at the back to the over elaborate passing in their box to a midfield that looks like it couldn't give a damn.

I can see us losing this. It isn't simply a case of being outfought as we were at Newport, we are being outplayed here too by a very good footballing side. Credit to Rochdale they fully deserve the lead.

Oh and the sooner Rose leaves the better. Absolute cack.

  12. Wanyama and Sissoko have been outmuscled. Pathetic performance.
But credit to Rochdale. They have been bloody good and a credit to their club <ok>

Moura : that is the game we hoped we were buying.

Winks : been driving forward, but sloppy for the goal.

    Foyth : bit too casual.

Wanyama : not full beast mode, but trying to drive
    play forward.

Rose : yet more curse of the "know what I am worth" .

Llorente : Soldado mk II. Too lazy to even press the GK.

Sissoko : thank God for a full squad available now.

    Winks has been shockingly poor.

Worrying really as he hasn't had any major injury lay offs and is supposedly fighting to get back into the first team.

Had to. If he stayed higher then the player on the ball can have a straight run to the goal. He can only block off the pass/play offside if he's closer.

We're determined to **** ourselves over in the FA Cup, aren't we? Need to stop playing the extra pass and start getting off shots, Son and Llorente have been particularly guilty.

I've said this before, but I still don't understand why we don't give our returning players games in the U23s.
They come back and get thrown in at the deep end and are expected to hit the ground running.
It doesn't work and it's becoming more obvious all the time.

Lucky to be only one down, they had a stonewall penalty turned down. All credit to Rochdale, easily the better side. No Eriksen, Dembele and Kane and we would struggle to survive in Division 1.

  18. The MF just have no cohesion. Appreciate that they haven’t played too many games together but at times it’s like they all met up for the first time this morning.

He has been struggling for ages. Not because he’s coming back from injury, but because he’s constantly had to keep an eye on Rose’s man.

Likely to be an unpopular opinion but it amazes me - not necessarily so much on here but Spurs fans in general - at how highly fans praise Winks and seemingly make him exempt from criticism. I get he's "one of our own" and I always enjoy promoting youth but honestly, what does Winks bring to the team? He's not a good dribbler and 95% of his passes are back or to the side.

I hope he massively proves me wrong in the future but for me he's just a glorified Tom Carroll.
