No chance would F.C. fans on their travels be city fans? The travelling away fans are the most anti city fans going! #fact

I haves over a dozen family members out in Australia following Hull FC ( most are in the Sidney Opera House as I type this post) and all bar one of them (who supports Liverpool as he is from Huyton ) are Hull City fans.

They just thought it would be a great experience and used the excursion as their main holiday for this year.

By looking at all their photos on FB they are all having a fab time.

Good on them, I'm looking forward to catching up with them next Saturday for my wife's birthday party.

I have missed 5 City games this season. And I was very close to going to Austrailia to watch Hull so how does that work considering to some on here think all Hull supporters hate City.

So with FC playing in Oz I was just thinking of our trips outside Europe. Decent following went to the Asia Trophy in Beijing in 2009, probably less than Hull have taken down under but no one seems to have accurate numbers. Am I right in thinking City have only done Beijing and Tampa Bay, Florida, or has there been anywhere else outside Europe?

We played 3 matches in Bermuda, late 1980s I think.

I know someone who went to Florida. His wife found out his priorities as they had only got martied two or three weeks before. He achieved every fan's dream in Gibraltar. City had some injuries and he jokingly offered to go on. He was a very good footballer and very fit. They said OK. Played about 20 minutes.

I remember us playing Bermuda at home, circa 89/90. Some sort of City XI trashed them by 8 or more.

In Europe, but of course there was the Bulgarian tour, also in 1990. Worthy of a mention considering how different Europe still was back then.

Before I moved to work in the Middle East. I lived in Cambridgeshire for 15 years. I also had a season pass for both City and FC. Love em both equally. Before that a season pass at the Boulevard to watch the Vikings. Been on many a trip to watch the Seahawks ice hockey too. Some just find it hard to believe that you can love your city of birth. Hard to believe too that now I have mellowed over the years I want Hull KR to do well except in the local derbies.

    Maybe I'm just strange ehhh?

Weird, why are there two City shirts there if they're FC fans who've travelled to Aus?

On Wigan v Man Hunter last night, some commentator said ' Here you're either Wigan Warriors or Wigan Athletic'.

Not sure how informed that comment is. Surely there must be one or two who watch both codes?

I have heard anecdotally of Wigan Warriors fans whose football team is 'anyone but WAFC'.
