Smith mom for me, lots of effort and energy, finally rewarded. Disappointed with Pawel, only seemed up for the odd burst, and Smythe showed the benefit of making the runs when he came on. Definitely the better side by far, and deserved the win. My girl got the first goal on video, it’s been snapchatted to all her mates!
Don't care about that. As long as we keep grinding out the results. Even ****e teams won't just roll over for you. Compared to last season our home form seems to be reliable enough. 8 4 3 so far. Doubt that we will ease off the gas (or should that be hope we don't) when we get near to the safety line like we did last year. Mind you this season we have some promising youngsters coming through who have all had a taste of first team action so I don't see us coming to a shuddering halt this year even if there is some experimentation.
I swear Smith could never score with a header if we played to Sunday. And then Smyth puts a beauty on his head and he does. Smyth speed merchant, Eze was controlled class. The future is getting brighter... especially with Bright-Samuel. Unfair red to Bolton.. and we made hard work off it...though after Smithies had made a wonder save they were never threatening.....but as usual I was not really sure if we would... Liked the look of Smyth when came & first time I’ve seen him as missed Cardiff match, not a great spectacle but done the business, thought Bolton was poor & relied on set pieces, must take our chances when opportunity comes.
Just back. Bolton were utterly dross, gave us loads of time on the ball, especially at the back. 69% possession! Thought the red was harsh at first viewing, but not after watching replays. Ref was utterly awful all game.
