Not sure if I qualify as I saw very little of the first half, thankfully from the bit I did see, but all second half. Based on that: 1. Irvine 2. MacDonald 3. Wilson - robbed of the opportunity to score higher
1. Irvine 2. MacDonald 3. Dicko To be fair, although no danger of troubling a top 3, credit to Clark as a non-left back young lad having to manfully fill in because we have no other friggin option. Oh, and Stewart was shocking. Liability.
Everyone says this, but he first came onto the scene as a left back when he was a young teenager captaining England youth sides, and he's only ever played left back at this level. If he plays another 50 games there will people keep saying he's not a left back?
Irvine - a bright light in a sea of ineptitude MacDonald - could make a good CH pairing with Mazuch when he returns Wilson - hope his injury is not serious.
That’s because he’s too slow to play as a left back, he started off there, but ahead of this season, he hadn’t played there for four years.
As Lambo says "That’s because he’s too slow to play as a left back, he started off there, but ahead of this season, he hadn’t played there for four years.". He wasn't our u23's left back. You only have to watch him play to know he isn't a left back. He's standing in, and fair play to him. Not knocking him at all, in fact the opposite, but he's only there because we have no better option. Be sure, his future won't be as a left back.
Why didn't/don't we play the lad who plays left back for the u23s Fleming is it) as left back when we had no option as opposed to Clark who's been playing central midfield? For my 3, tough call; Irvine Dicko Wilson
Andy Dawson did well enough as a left back without being fast. At this level Clark has only played left back, and it's the position he played growing up.
