Well, of course he's on the left; as you obviously know from your cultural researches, Ant is always on the right. More to the point, why is he talking to a bloody dolphin ? And talking of lieutenants, what's the only-ever UK no. 1 single to feature a mother and son ?

I've got an 18 year old daughter who is at drama school and has the west end dreams if not the broadway dreams.

I, at age 41, have gone back to my teenage roots and joined a band - so that's my mid-life crisis dream - not to be some rock type or something but just to make a living out of making music instead of my daft accountancy job in a bank.

I've always wanted to own a champion racehorse but I'm guessing everyone on this forum wants that.

I'm fascinated by the Royal Artillery Gold Cup but I think I'll keep my money out of it.

I've followed Naranja closely and 11/1 is a tempting price but I can't get on board with the 8lb rise and the step up in Class.

    Since it's a Lenten Friday, I think I'll be bookie-fasting in abstinence.

Chan, I wonder if you have inadvertently just named a Cheltenham Festival winner within that post! Owned by the forum's 2nd favourite owner to boot, Mr Ponsonby.

Now, quite surprisingly, available at 33's to win the Pertemps Final.

Hi Bib. Naranja is leased to a syndicate. I know the owner who believe it or not is or was the headmistress of a South London school, she is a complete and utter nutcase. In her spare time she runs the London Racing Club. Very special woman indeed and nice that she has such a nice mare.

A very statuesque "leggy" mare. Possibly just too much of an ask for her today, though.

4 45 Lingfield - Harbour Force 14/1 looks big, shame Spencer's onboard it, even he should be able to steer this one home though

I've gone against pretty much everything I posted and backed Naranja and Midnight Monty <laugh>

    In for a penny...

Pertemps?! I thought that was the "more plots" race that only the addicted and the insane tried to unpick. The Ponsonby animal doesn't appear to have much in hand of the handicapper in either code judging on his runs in 2017.

Chinese New Year so half day followed by an absolute gorging at an all you can eat buffet (9/10 lost a mark for a lack of sweet chilli sauce to accompany the spring rolls and prawn toast) all FOC. Got to love the Chinese investors - well for this afternoon anyway.

Am I seeing things ( just out of theatre after another biopsy) or do I see a 17 runner race at Cagnes sur Mer with every runners name beginning with the letter "D"?

Often happens in France Mick <ok>

Ron will know the details - I think it might be something to do with horses names and starting letter and when they were born or something.

Hope the biopsy is benign <ok>

Thanks for the well wishes Oddy, but unfortunately not. It's the same tumour the radiotherapy failed to get rid of ( they told me it had 6 weeks ago) but as a result of side effects of radiotherapy, my windpipe collapsed last Thursday night and I was rushed in for an emergency tracheostomy with 2 hours to spare!
The biopsy is to see how much of the larynx they are going to remove. I'll lose my voice, but get rid of the cancer!
That will be the end of going to sea unfortunately, but we aren't skint, so might just live the dream and put the feet up with the trusty hound and the Mrs!!!
