Yup, you will spend most of the time scratching your head. The plot is ridiculously convoluted and a bit of a mess. Great performances by Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell though, I just wish I knew what the **** they were talking about And I am a guy who loves to drown himself in lore and backstory. But TD Season 2 was just pompous, long winded and confusing.
I've watched the first five now and I'm getting into it a bit but I still don't know what exactly it is they are investigating. It's nowhere near as gripping as Series 1 and you also happen to know what/who it is they're trying to solve in that one. McAdams and Farrell are both excellent but, as some form of counterpoint, Kelly Reilly and Vince Vaughan are both complete gash.
