If we don’t get into the Play Offs this season, are there any circumstances in which you would want him as manager next season ?

To expand. Last night, the updates made it clear Bradford were well back into the game and had taken control. So what did KR do? Everyone in the ground or online apart from him knew that an equaliser was coming, so he waited till it arrived, then made some changes when the momentum had gone forever.

Enough. He's glued in place until a takeover arrives but a whole season where he has shown he cannot change or adapt is enough. If and when a new owner arrives, he can be the first out the door with Tony Kahone. Let Jacko and Bowyer see the season out while the new guys get organised, but this is just a waste of resources now.

If the new owners threaten to bring back Karel Fraeye that's the only time I would say keep Robinson. He's floundering.

I have just listened to his post match interview and all he does is make excuses. Fosu and Kakkai were given horrendous treatment. The ref lost control. He is going to speak to the Referree's association. Their goal came from a deflection. I have spoken out in protection of Robinson, but I can't do it now. He is beginning to sound like Bexley Boy( Colin ) with the excuses. This squad should be in a Play Off place, the reason it isn't is Robinson.

    No.

Even if by some miracle we get promotion, I hope new owners will pay KR off early in the summer and bring in their own man.
If he can't get tactics right in this league, in the Championship we will be lambs to the slaughter.

If we end up out of the playoffs, Karl out.

No play offs then he should move on - it's the best solution for all parties. For all the crap that he's dealt with behind the scenes, the squad is good enough for the top 6.

That's the trouble, he doesn't use the squad. Reeves was his big marquee signing, now he's just making up the numbers. Aribo was the new Vieira: ditto. Kai-kai looks an average L1 player, he's ahead of them both in the pecking order.

    • Totally disinterested owner.
    • Discredited, passionless zero ambition culture.
    • No CEO, no DOF.
    • An average manager with limited tactical ability.
    • Our best players are loanees.
    • Disillusioned, apathetic and completely fed up fan base.
The regime can kid itself all it likes that Charlton Athletic is still a functioning football Club, with its glossy looking website full of happy clapping trivia.
The truth is the whole thing has degenerated from a freak show to a basket case, and now at last an object of pity.
If we were a dog, we would be shot.

All of this has to be swept away by the new owners, preferably at the end of this season.
Summer 2018 has to be as revolutionary as the summer of 2011 - indeed probably even more so.
Karl Robinson has had his chance.

Karl Robinson has a win rate in the 3rd tier of 36%.
    Frankly that is mid-table rubbish.
Only Russell Slade has a worse record, and he was fired after 16 games.
Slade aside, for 90 years Charlton have never had a poorer performing manager in the 3rd division. Even Theo Foley has better stats.

But (presumably because of his frequent 'fans hero' grandstanding) some Charlton fans think Karl Robinson is the new Messiah.

It is quite possible - at this level of English Football - that Bob Peeters, Guy Luzon or even Karel Fraeye could out-perform Robinson. Jose Riga certainly would.
He spouts on mightily about Charlton's DNA when we win a couple of games, and blames everybody else from corrupt officials to the over-physical opposition and even bad luck when we fall short.
He has never made a mistake in his life - just like Roland Duchatelet and Katrien Meire.

Realistically he won't get sacked while Roland is in the middle of selling the club, and even when we have new owners they won't want to rush into a change of manager. Clubs have sussed that we "don't like it up 'em", so I expect him to go as soon as it's obvious we won't go up. Mind you, we may have to wait until then for the sale to go through.

Regardless of who the owner is, I now think Robinson will go once it becomes mathematically impossible for us to reach the Play offs. Earlier this season KR was polling 75-25 in his favour, now its 50-50. A growing % of our fans can see he is not up to it.

Knowing Charlton though, we will take it to the last day of the season at bottom placed Rochdale. We will take 1,500 up there needing a win to finish 6th....and lose.

Silly man. He just doesn't know when to keep quiet. He really should go for the Barnsley job. He will get the bullet if he fails to take us up (again). Curbs turned down the Villa job, but only gave it a brief mention in his book years later.

Remember Northampton away last season, when Watt and Teixera were taking photos of each other’s expensive trainers in the away dressing room, and Tex was allegedly showing our players texts from his agent boasting at the clubs who wanted him. After the pathetic defeat that day, Gobbo said he would write a book one day about the unbelievable, unprofessional incidents he had encountered at Charlton <laugh> he really does come out with so much sh1t <laugh>
