Cue the current nauseating responses from rival fans/trolls, whenever we speak of us doing anything remotely positive, or giving Tottenham credit for anything...

“Well done on winning the [insert sarcastic comment] trophy”.

    Yawn.

I was surprised that you got an away draw, given Juve's experience and locker room of tricks, both fair and underhand. Just think, a 1-1 draw in the return sees you in the last 8, something your North London friends can only dream about. Well done and I hope you guys continue to progress and win at least one trophy this year.

I've watched the game back. For the majority of the game, all you can hear are our fantastic fans. The BT commentators say nothing. I don't get that. Why not comment on something that's so special about English [not just Spurs] fans?

When foreign fans come to England, they're creaming themselves about the jumping up and down and the bloke with the megaphones. I just don't understand why we wouldn't want to celebrate our English supporters?

Big shout out to my younger brother who goes to all our European away games and all the boys and girls. Amazing, again. <applause>

Lets hope on the 27th May the word on the street is that the CL trophy is nowhere near as important as it used to be.

We are very good these days!

On the Davies penalty, it was quite a good illustration of something I think is wrong in the Laws. Both players were going for the ball and there was going to be a collision whatever happened. Essentially the player who gets their second is almost bound to foul the one who gets their first. I think that penalises reasonable challenges for the ball.
It's different if one player has the ball under control already.
I'm not arguing with the decision just saying the Law is wrong

What a good football match that was. We started poorly without question, Juventus started on the front foot and caught us cold, but having given them a 2 goal start didn't we play well for the remaining 80 minutes, individual performances have been praised elsewhere, but the collective almost eclipsed the individuals last night. We are now a very good team and showing that we can compete with other good teams week in week out.

Looking forward now to another trip to Wembley in 3 weeks to see one of Europes elite teams, knowing that we have a decent chance, but also expecting another very tough examination of our credentials.

I think you are right, but we'd lose the penalty against Liverpool in that case and for that reason, I'm out.

    • Juventus had only conceded one goal in their previous 16 games - and none in 2018.
    • Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon had not conceded a goal for 694 minutes - a run going back to Italy's World Cup play-off defeat by Sweden in November when the second leg ended 0-0.
    • Juve had won their past 10 games in league and cup over the last two months.
    • It is only the second time they have failed to win a Champions League home game after being two goals ahead - the last was against Manchester United in the 1999 semi-final second leg.
    • Spurs are the first team to wipe out a two-goal deficit at the Juventus Stadium, now called the Allianz Stadium, since the Italian champions moved there in 2011.
    • Juve have conceded two goals in a home Champions League game for the first time since February 2016 - 2-2 against Bayern Munich.
    • They had not conceded twice in any home game since October when they lost 2-1 to Lazio.
    (From the BBC)

The new stadium should really be sponsored by Guinness.
