I read, walk, play the guitar, write songs (with a couple from the US), make videos, watch Hull City, talk bollocks and I've just started drawing and painting as well.
I mess about with guitars (broke my wrist 3 or so months ago and still finding it difficult to play for more then ten mins or so at a time) also like to chill in my small music studio when i have some spare time. Like growing veg (have two allotments). Very recently got into woodworking using hand tools as much as possible. (sad I know )
Learning the ukulele Walking and larking with the kids and the dog Drifted from golf and back to angling Reading and a bit of fun drawing Losing the love for football, but still love footie Enjoying work, but all good things...
Coaching my lads football team. The most enjoyable football at the moment. The Allams are slowly killing my interest in club football. Serial watch flipper. Skiing. Old VWs. Campervans. The Great Outdoors.
I started off playing Golf, I do like it as well. Given up on it for now as it's one of those games I think you have to put a lot into (time wise) to get more enjoyment from. Clubs are retired in the garage until time permits, at which point they'll be vintage.
All sorts of charity work. Mate lives down south, whose son went away a fit young man to serve his country and came back in bits, physically and mentally. Changed my perspective on a lot of things. Feels good to do summat for nowt to help someone else. ALLAM FAILURES OUT !!!
I find myself at a crossroads. Putting football aside, whether watching or playing, I used to enjoy playing guitar (or at least trying to, that didn't work out ). I'm getting more boring by the day to be honest. I find I like mending or restoring things now. The stiff lock on the back door, or that broken chair in the kitchen. I'd be quite happy to be a handy mann in my old age. It does seem I'm at a crossroads. I don't even watch porn much these days
Lot's of time spent cheating on the Predictions League thread. Music is the big passion. Electronic keyboards dabbled with - badly. One day I'll buy a set of drums. Trying to get through my library after a lifetime of collecting books to read in retirement. Manage an old-timers' football team after a broken leg ended my illustrious player-manager role @ 60.
i watch too many youtube videos, occasionally annex small countries while the rest of the world isn't watching, plan things that don't get beyond the drawing board, and wonder where my life has gone.
Like others have mentioned, I play my guitar, write songs, for my consumption mainly, love my 1960's 1970's music, write poetry, I'm trying to write a novel, and I write stuff about my childhood. But I think that the biggest change in me is taking notice of everything around you that for most of my life have always been there but I didn't take any notice. Sunrise and sunsets, the changing of the seasons and the effect on the leaves on the trees. Being from a construction background I wander around the city centre, and despite the Luftwaffe's best efforts there are still some architectual gems to be seen. Being retired helps of course, some days I just go for a walk over the Humber Bridge, in a summer I go on my bike, the foreshore footpath on that side of the bridge stretches for miles. And wherever I go, and whatever I see, I take pictures to look back on when on my computer. I say that whilst I am able I will try and do as much as I can, both with my wife or on my own, many of my friends are unable too. A visit to the libraries and the Hull History Centre is usually on the agenda as well.
I enjoy visiting European cities but a fiancé with expensive tastes has put paid to that for the next 18 months. Does listening to wedding plans count as a hobby? I spend time in my gym every day, the punchbag helps as a release. I also bought a knackered house with idiot previous owners so spend a lot of time DIYing. I try to write but struggle to find the time. I blame this place. Nearly as boring as Carmine.
