    Firstly, Happy 68th Birthday to one of my personal favourite Guitarists, Steve Hackett of Genesis and Solo work who was born in Pimlico in 1950...

    The late Keyboardist and Co-Founder of The Doors, Ray Manzarek was born in Chicago in 1939. His work on the organ was as much instrumental to their sound as Jim Morrison's poetry and vocals were....

    Happy Birthday to one of my music heroes, who, like Kate Bush, is one of those artists who's body of work is so original and innovative it is impossible to catagorise him.
    Peter Gabriel turns 68 today, having been born on this day in Chobham, Surrey in 1950.

    We had some Genesis yesterday, but I had to post this for PG's vocals, which are superb and never fail to move me...

    I love all of Gabriel's first four albums and So, albeit slightly more commercial, is a great album also...
