It always does for me in the morning. Could a new number 2 be what Brucie needs? You have to think that EB is a nodding dog, so would someone new with a bit of tactical nous and coaching pedigree be what Steve Bruce needs? I just can't see him getting the axe (board backing the recruitment of 10 new players) unless we lose 4 or 5 on the bounce and heaven forbid that happening. He is beginning to remind me of Bryan Robson when Boro brought in Terry Venebles. Brought in quality but couldn't get the best out of it.
Eric Black was considered one of the best in the business not so long ago, and it's certainly his links with the French Ligue that has brought us the likes of Cana, Gyan, Sess etc, being a French speaker he also gets on well with said lads. So we've had a couple of ****e results. Lets get on with it, instead of looking for a scapegoat.
Parkersafc - drivel pal. How on earth can you say that Eric Black is a 'nodding dog'? Do you know what his input is day to day, or on match days, or in training? I don't think many of us will ever see inside the inner sanctum. We've had a poor start and I for one am looking forward to going to Swansea and seeing an improved performance and hoping to see Bruce at the helm for the whole season..regardless of results.
Just posing the thought of a new number 2 and if it could help. Okay saying EB is a nodding dog might have been abit far but if he's not then does that mean that Bruce is ignoring his input or are they likeminded when it comes to team selection and in game decision making. I truly hope he objected to that team Bruce put out against Brighton
Mjellis you say your hopingt to see bruce as manager for the entire season regardless of results? Football is a results business. Are you saying that if we lost the next 5 you'd still be happy with bruce as manager? Don't get me wrong I want Bruce to still be manager come the end of the season as I would imagine it means we'd have had a canny season. However his tenure is entirely based on results.
