And yet you wanted Reid dropped for Taylor this season.

Taylor when fit and not in pain will come good.Reid is a revalation this season.
You can send Diony back on that second half showing.

I said to the bloke next to me that we shouldn’t be chasing the 4th goal - he was all for putting Flint up front.
Memories of the wasted 3 points vs Wolves for me.
At least LJ acknowledges it which is something I suppose but to let a 3-0 lead slip is a flashback to last season.

wow havent been this gutted/sick since the days of fighting relegation and losing all the time, give LJ his credit for saying he got it wrong, maybe yes, but Reid was injured and the players let him and us down second half. Once they got the second i knew what was going to happen, only one team wanted it then, a lot of our players went into their shells imo.
i personally, and its only my own opinion, see nothing really in Kent, his decision making, and release/non release of the ball are poor, and he kills momentum when we break out.
Diony probably needs time, as Kodja did, but i'm not convinced, and think his scoring record echos that too, and today i'm sorry to say , but i was screaming at Bryan to stop giving their right winger so much time and space the whole game, and whereas you usually always send the player wide, maybe as he beat him there everytime, he could of tried pushing him in field and see what happened.
But all in all i think the players let the manager and us down in the scond half, when we play quick one/two touch football at pace, not many teams can stay we us, but we became slow and predictable and pumped far too many balls long and forward to nobody today, and as usual defended too DEEP.

They as a few teams have, played a very high line at the back, but we never ever think of dropping the ball in behind with a LATE runner from wide or midfield beating their line and the offside trap, WHY?

Sorry to rant but i'm absolutely gutted today, and although everyone else in the main drew, i think this is a massive 2 points dropped/threw away, and we just could look back at the end of the season as this being the game that ruined our season, I sincerely hope not!

I predicted 10-12 at the start of the season, and yes we have had many highs and few lows, but after us being in top 6 (play-offs) still at the start of January, if we miss out on at least the top 6 i think ultimately we have failed, i maybe a bit harsh, but its how i feel at the moment.

Spot on Andy,we are where we are, and should grasp it whilst the chance is there.
Sadly 2018 we are letting it slip away but by bit.
We should have gone for a proven championship striker, not a missfiring French unfit striker, bad mistake which will probably upset the playoffs for us.
Cardiff did the right thing in getting Madine in.

I thought that Bryan constantly allowed their winger time to come in too much for my liking.

Also was it a foul for their second? The linesman right by then didn’t flag so to make it a booking seemed harsh as well. Then to top it off allowed them to take the free kick right on the edge of the box when it was closer to the corner flag just sums up the ref to me was a cock.

Taylor is a league one player at best. Diony needs time hence the reason we didn’t buy him.
Didn’t you write Smith, Wilbraham, and Diedhiou off as well?

Natural goalscorer is Matty Taylor. The chap had a hernia issue all season which he put off because of the striker shortage.
Next season he will come good.

After watching the highlights on Sky just now I didn't realise this afternoon how lucky Sunderland were to get that draw, the two own goals and once again another blatant penalty we didn't get, their good luck our bad luck.

Yeah Maldine is certainly outscoring Diony at present. What is it zero goals v zero goals? He’s really rubbing his nose in it

We paid the price for not going for the kill second half. Even at 3-0 I felt there was much to improve on, Kent is a greedy F**cker, he's like that kid at school who thinks he can beat evryone all the time, but can't!! I still don't rate Bailey Wright, it seems 90% of the time he either gives away the ball or a free kick. Fieldings distribution was as poor as normal and his shot stopping at its best as a great reflex safe from 5 yards out.

Not much Brownhill or Pack could have done, but it was never in a million years a free kick for their second goal, the bloke blatantly dived, but Joe grabbed his shirt on the way down which swayed the linesman.

The ref gave some very odd yellow cards in the game, 1 to each side.

We can forget the automatic spots after this - and tbh we will be lucky after the next 3 games to still be in the Play off spots unless something changes drastically.

So disappointing as they were there for the taking in the first half and were as poor a side as I have seen in a long long time.

Harry Kane played for Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester (56 games in total) before he became a Tottenham regular, how can we judge Diory 0n 3 sub appearances, he needs time to adjust to new playing conditions before we make comparisons surely.

Don't understand it myself, most people wrote off the likes of Kodjia and Diedhiou after two or three games, makes no sense

    It’s only RR ain’t it?
He’s not fit you can see it and struggling to read the game at the moment, but I think one goal will change that. Me personally would like to see him alongside Reid not Diedhiou. Our players seem to go long ball with those two together like they tend to with Djuric on the field.

<doh> talk about diversion tactics - I thought you lot over there usually chewed straws not clutched at them........<laugh>:emoticon-0105-wink:

We'll be on to the "ahh, but we play the game properly" tack in a minute, but it hasn't done you much good lately. Only getting 1 point out of 6 from a couple of bottom 3 sides tells the real story.

Have you blown up? Well I don't really know if that's the case, but little Lee had better get his head out of his arse PDQ and stop thinking about the pats on the back he got from Pepe a few weeks back.

A valuable lesson learned by our young team - while it was not full-on showboating, they stopped doing the right things

Hard to then get back into gear
