At the moment we will take any bones we can get...own goals, miss kicks, in off players arses .... I don't care myself. We need to get some points back to back then hopefully we wont be papering over the cracks.
At half time the score was matching my prediction league forecast, never been more happier to not score points involving our club. It shows what a complete footballing enigma our club is impossible to predict how or where we'll end up this season, at 3.45pm I thought we were dead and burried now I'm not so sure. Football eh.
I've seen the highlights & we had a lot of luck but it's about ****ing time. Still, fair play for the second half performance, I'm not detracting from that. Why can't we set up like that from the start? 4-4-2. And get the ****ing wingers on from the start.
Next 4 games: Currently 3 points from safety and you probably need 6 from that lot to be around the safety line. NEED to win and soon, I'd say those four are getting progressively more difficult. After that March looks unkind. It's about turning draws into wins and actually playing from the start of games. There's some fight in the players though and the crowd need to let them know it next match.
At qtr to 4 we were written off. I'd written them off. Who wouldn't have. I walked down to the pub to watch the rugby. Just as the second half scores were coming through. I have no idea what happened in that second half, whether it was down to the players or the manager, but if a second half performance can't rejuvenate a squad for the next game, they're ****ed because that was the come back of the season, and they should be ****ing buzzing all the way home!!!!!
Heard it on the radio, good to hear some fire in our belly. Still, scoring 3 goals and not winning the game tells us that there's still a lot of defensive work to be done, but we can't knock player commitment.
well said. Own goals may be bad luck but they’re normally down to having teams under pressure. I hate the negativity when the team deserve some credit for today. As does the manager. He got it right with his changes and the players responded
You won this thread hands down. Tell you what fella, we could all learn something from you today. You showed the same fire as the team in the second half, only you had it from the off. Fair play.
Shame it's just words on a forum and has no effect on anything whatsoever. If he's pitchside then great, otherwise it means nothing.
Bet it means the world to him, He's a happier fan for it. What have we been getting out of all this? I know i've found little joy recently. Pleased for him personally. Inspires me to be more positive.
I think it's easier to be happy clappy when you live on the other side of the planet and probably haven't been to a game for a long time. I don't mind positivity of course but given the state of the club in recent years it's perfectly understandable that people will be depressed and negative and it's not right that they're told they aren't good fans because of it.
He went on the offensive a bit aye but only cause he got cut down for showing encouragement. I'm sure he also has a valid argument for being dismissed for being a long way away.
All I know he backed the lads the most on here today and deserves the spring in his step. I'm happy for him.
Fair enough. I'm happier for the lads who go to the games and have to physically put up with the ****e Sunderland serve up every week. Like I say fair play he's positive but he's got no right to criticise anyone.
In the absence of Bri's usual superb uploads of the goals, I've dug this out It's in Russian ... er, I think it's in Russian, it's not as if I can speak Russian ... but the highlights are all there in excellent quality
It's cause I was in a car while the match was on and I decided I didn't want to see anything until I've watched the full 90 so I've avoided twitter like the plague.
