  1. Don't worry. On that kind of display, I cannot see you winning the Europa.

  2. You kidding!

7-0 would not have been flattering to us.

  3. Very fair assessment :emoticon-0148-yes: and if I was in your shoes I would be very concerned.
Might disagree with your assessment of the first half. The difference was that you set up defensively with a plan to maybe counter, but in truth you never looked to have any plan as an attacking force. Once we scored, that lack of a plan - together with our increased confidence - meant you looked to be chasing shadows.
If we had got a 2nd early enough, it could have got quite embarrassing. However, the failure to convert made the last few minutes far more difficult than necessary and maybe cast a different reflection on the game as a whole.

  5. Came into his own 2nd half. More space as the Goons tired and he strolled it.

Thing I don't get is I saw quite a few empty seats. And as for the corporate seats - it's a ****ing disgrace that people want to see games but tickets are handed out to rich prats who don't want to watch the game anyway. They were about 1/3 empty most the game.

  7. Yeah, but do remember that we were predicted to be the whipping boys of the CL from the minute that our "group of death" was drawn. Look at how that one panned out.

Poch and his mighty juggernaut just keep on a-rollin'!

I remember the 1962 cup final.Couldn't get tickets the regular way but because I was working at Hackney greyhound stadium I was given one because they were allotted a couple....and no one else was interested!!
Well, the seat was a wooden chair way up behind the Royal Box in a room. When Spurs scored,I reacted by jumping out of my seat yelling GOAL! Everyone in there looked at me as though I'd gone mad! (Well,I had!)

    Bravely spoken, sir!

As you know, I predicted the now-famous "North London Power-Shift" around three years ago, and the term even made it into the National press.

It was small steps, starting with us securing regular Europa League footy. Most of you Gooners ripped the piss out of us during those long, formative years in our development, scoffing about your perennial presence in the CL; but we need to consolidate at every stop up the Prem ladder - Rome never was built in a day.

The fact is that we had been steadily making gains on Arsenal over the past 10 seasons, and I could see - and predicted - that we would, one day, over take you as not only the dominant club in North London, but as one of the perennial title challengers.

And so, I have been proven correct.

What you witnessed today is the true face of the state of play between our two clubs, and I predict that it will remain that way for some time.

We dominated the game and could have scored 4 or 5, Dembele was his imperious best and my MOTM. Other stand out performers were JV, Davies and I thought Dele also was looking back to some kind of form. The only minor criticism is we are not clinical enough in front of goal, we should have scored more but I suppose today we can give Cech some credit for a good performance.

Onwards and upwards, let`s keep this good run going with at least a draw in Turin. COYS

What a header from Kane today. He really is just getting better and better. His passing is becoming incredibly good too. Rarely loses it and it seems like he has one or contenders for Pass Of The Game every game. Couple of lovely balls from him again today. Got real quality and range now - not to mention that he's just looking stronger and faster every season too.

Dembele is clearly not "over". Raw though Sanchez is at times he really is a prospect - the whole defence was good today. Son had a bit of an off day but now with Lamela and Moura he has competition again. (Great though he's been he's also by far our best impact sub). Great to see the depth and competition that we have all over the pitch (except up top) again now everyone's fit. And thank **** that means here really is, 100% no reason to play Sissoko any more.

(Yep - even when we've just thrashed the Goons 1-0 and Sissoko han't even played I still can't help but mention the Extraordinary Threat that that man is to this team).

Predicted it three years ago?! It was well underway by then!

(TBF you say that later on - truth is that we've been heading up and they've been heading down for quite some time - since the days of Jol?)
