Had braised Ox cheeks, mash, winter veg and exmoor gravy. A side of garlic bread Four pints of Exmoor gold ale. Not gonna lie, it was all ****ing magic.
Good to see this thing's still alive and kicking Roast pork last night, all the trimmings. **** knows what I’m having tonight, some kind of takeaway with a few guinness
Got some left over chicken legs in the freezer going to do some kind of slow cooked spicy thing in the oven with them tomorrow.
Not a massive fan of Guiness, I tried it when I wen to Dublin as everyone says it's much better and yes it is a fuller flavour and smother but still not a massive fan. Best pint I had there was a Dublin Blonde this brand... please log in to view this image
I went for the first time recently and yes it's expensive but it was nice to go into a pub and not have the choice of either Fosters or Carling.
Was lush. There's this thatched country pub near where we work and we go there every other week. Proper stone floor/open fire scenario. The food is local and well cooked, worth paying the extra. It's not even that expensive. Great pint of Exmoor Gold too. It's what winter Thursday evenings are made for. Got garlic butter all over the front of my brand new, and a tad expensive, sweatshirt though!
