I guess that's what our team can do when the pressure is off........

That's got to boost confidence surely. I know there was a gulf in class, but we destroyed them totally.

Shame the crowd was low, but great run out for the squad players. Can only help this confidence and teamwork.

Roberts played well and good debut for James with a great goal.

    Per the BBC

The Swans are the first side to score eight goals against another league side in the FA Cup since Walsall beat Torquay 8-4 in a second-round replay in December 1995.

    That was a statement.
Lower league, but they had to be put away

Hope you haven't used all your goals up.

Great win ... a bit boring though.
No scores everyone did what was needed.

Funny how people see games isn't it. I thought Roberts was poor, gave the ball away far to easily and showed he is nowhere near the level needed in the PL. Did improve a little towards the end, was more impressed with James than him.

To be fair to the lad, isn't he a right back and was playing left wing-back?!

But yeah, James looked good, has deserved his chance. Surprised Gorre hasn't been allowed to step up as well yet.

Roberts suffered from being a right back playing on the left but the manager was obviously happier with that than putting Naughton on the left. TBF he was rarely tested as a full back but provided a decent link from midfield and forward.
Although Routledge lost the ball a few times some of his passes last night were on another level.
Others who did lose the ball too cheaply were Carroll and Clucas.
Can't get carried away as I think the occasion got to Notts; they had their day in the first round.
But to score 8 against anyone when you aren't really going for broke is impressive.
Top marks to those coming back from injury and those who don't get many minutes and everyone playing alongside different partners.
