What is it about him? The enthusiasm seems to have gone and the gloss is fading. Does Warnock need to deliver another ultimatum to the lad?

Is it our counter-attacking style that doesn't suit him and leaves him feeling isolated? If so, is he the right man to have up front or do we change our style?

Madine is more of a target man to hold up the ball and at least he puts himself about causing trouble. For all his physical size, Ken to me lately seems uncommitted and allows the game to pass him by rather than trying to get hold of it.

There's no doubt he possesses all the physical attributes, a clubbing left foot and not a little amount of skill to go with it but it starts you thinking if we should have taken the dosh for him in the summer and re-invested it.

OK, I know it's alright to say that in hindsight but at the moment, present experience is all we've got to go on.

He was so ineffective when he came on at Leeds. Luckily Pilks was there to tidy up his air kick for the 4th.<whistle>

I don't know what has gone on with him since early season.

The one I feel sorry about is Mendez-Laing...his early season for, had it continued would have made me buy a season ticket for the first time in my life! I had a feeling it wouldn’t last as we have experienced this kind of thing before! Zohore has not gotten over having his head turned, before he had even become a real player. Such greed wanting to run before he could walk....wish we had another Brian Clark...Hoilett good mind! :emoticon-0103-cool:

I think your not far off there Masky, I think the silly money quoted for him in the summer changed the boy.

He looks like a little boy lost. Perhaps other teams have worked him out although with his size and pace he should still be capable of overcoming most defenders at this level.

Mind you he has never been good in the air so if the supply into space for him to run on to is cut off then he has little else.

Being positive, perhaps Pilks shouted for him to leave it on Saturday as he was better placed. #clutchingatstraws.

I have to say it didn’t look like he left it BFB, nothing like it pal....he fugging clumsily and haplessly missed it! Anyway, can you imagine a centre forward, desperate for a goal, and in front of goal “leaving it?”. :emoticon-0103-cool:
    Talk to Masky pal!

Anyway it’s the multimillionaire football agents fugging up the minds of players....unbelievably! I can never remember the career teachers in my school advising me to become a football agent. It’s a new phenomena created by the Premier League. Fogged the game up good and proper! :emoticon-0103-cool:

"He’s dangerous, not many would have got in there for the first and he was instrumental to the second, his contribution is excellent. He has great enthusiasm."

Warnock said of Paterson as above, and used the word enthusiasm...that’s it in a nutshell! Those old enough will remember Tony Evans and Brian Clarke...chased everything, and the fans loved them. Paterson is well in line to became a firm favourite! If he and ML get on song...could be wow!

I like Ken, he's strong, physical, pacey and doesnt stop running. The bloke just doesnt score enough goals. I'm inclined to agree with some of the above comments, that his head was turned at the beginning of the season by some top tier clubs and his head hasn't deflated yet.

What's the old saying , be nice to people on the way up , because they are the ones you will see on the way down.
Well poor old Ken ,wasnt up there long .
I think he's had his 15 minutes of fame.
If he's listening to his agent , or been found out by other teams or still isn't quite match fit.
Whatever the reason 12 to 15 million being quoted last summer , well at the moment , on currant form he's worth a fraction of that.
