Why is the Bundesliga so uncompetitive then? Bayern are not bankrolled by any wealthy owners. I think it's easy just to point the finger at outside investment. Surely if an outside investor was to pump money into one of the other clubs in that division, then it would be a good thing as it could break Bayerns dominance. Let's face it had Roman Abramovich not come along, and then City's owners afterwards, we under Sir Alex would have probably won about 10 titles in a row, as Arsenal and Wenger would have never been able to keep up the heat on us. I'm not saying Im all for owners bank rolling clubs, I'm just saying I don't think that's the reason leagues are becoming uncompetitive.
I don't think it has effected how competitive the league is though, as if anything it made the league more competitive. So Wengers point isn't valid. What Wenger really means, is it's unfair on Arsenal all these rich clubs stealing silverware from Arsenal. Maybe he should just come out and say that, rather than hiding behind some other little agenda of his. Wenger is just bitter because he was unable to rise to the challenge, and eventually beat the bankrolled clubs to the top prizes, in the same way Fergie managed to.
