Is Garth Crooks the most clueless tw@ in football journalism?

Ok, there are plenty of candidates, but for sheer stupidity surely Crooks is the worst.

 

I like him, he's entertaining if nothing else. Lawrenson is the one i can't stand listening to.

Lawrenson is a cynical, moaning, depressing ****ing bastard. When him and Alan Green are on the radio, I can't decide whether to get angry or weep.

Garth crooks is a ****ing bellend though.

 

Alan Green is a good radio commentator though.

 

I don't like the ****. He's a moaning old cynical twat like Lawrenson. Both of them take the fun out of the game when they are commentating

 

Best commentary is Arabic channels. Those lads know how to inject some enthusiasm into a game. They are literally praising Allah, the world, the player, his family, his neighbours, his neighbours goats. Pure reverence for the game. Puts Lawro and co to shame.

 

Crooks faces serious competition from Danny Murphy and Robbie ****ing Savage. Both, in different ways, more annoying than him, but Garth probably tops it for utter cluelessness.

Defenders seem to make the best pundits in general - Hanson, Keown, Ferdinand all excellent imo. Maybe because, playing in that position, they are used to watching the game more intently. Keepers seem generally to be crap though - maybe because they're all antisocial and weird.

 

If you view them as a pair of talking b*llocks then
you will be ok (you don't ask yourself whether tis
the left or right one that is talking at any given time) .

Nope, try "Southampton flirt with relegation every season" and "Lemina should join Arsenal or any other proper outfit"....

 

I have been impressed with Jenas.

I expected Ferdinand to be ****, but find him surprisingly articulate. What I really want with pundits is someone who can point out things happening on the pitch that you wouldn't otherwise have noticed. Ferdinand, I find, does exactly that.

I always did as a player myself, but as a pundit he seems to have a dig at us at every opportunity, plus his monotone voice is almost as yawny as lawrensons

 

I find Garth Crooks to be compulsive viewing ... you can't help but wonder if 'this' is the time that his eyes finally leave his skull and pop out on stalky things ... they have been threatening to for as long as I can remember ...
