The Mullins runner in the last is supposed to be mustard but equally their runner in today’s opener was also supposed to have been very well in and that was blasted out of the way. Good race coming up.

    Let's hear more from Michael.

"He's recovered well after he scoped badly at Christmas. We were sorry to miss the race at Christmas but this makes up for it," O'Leary continued.

"It was a bit of risk taking him back to two miles, but he handled the ground. Hopefully, if we keep him fit and well, we'll have a shot at the Ballymore."

And we can't wait to see him in the Ballymore, Michael.

Did you see Gordon Elliott afterwards though. Gave nothing away but gave me the impression Ballymore isn't a done deal in his head.

How easy would it have been if he wasn’t pulling for his head the whole way too <whistle>

Samcro, simply breathtaking. The best novice I’ve seen since Faugheen.

You can see today why I strongly fancied Killultagh Vic for the Foxhunters anyway <laugh> You could easily build a case that without injury the mighty Vic would have won a JLT and a Gold Cup by now. I’m sure he’ll head to the Gold Cup now but on the back of a fall isn’t it nigh impossible to win at Prestbury Park, some stat on that one gets bandied around in the build up if I’m not mistaken? Shout out to the Cheltenham vets who saved Edwulf too, what a turn around in less than a year for that horse and some recovery story. Seems the speckled one has sired a bit of a genius in the training ranks himself in young Joseph.

Although the price was bit skinny I was kind of wrong! Could serve it up to Might Bite in March and after that performance is about the right price for the gold cup!!

I don't think he's Gold Cup class Wooly. Yesterdays race wasn't strong at all, the only top, top notcher in it was Killultagh Vic (he'd have won 10l+ I reckon). The only way id see him being a player is if it was soft ground, similar to Native River, I think they'll lack the gear change you normally need in a Gold Cup. If was run flat out from flag fall he may have a chance too, possible i guess for them to try to expose any chink.in MIGHT BITES armour, ie can he stay it well enough.

I haven't seen much of Our Duke but watching yesterday's race I was disappointed with him. I agree that he won't be good enough to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

I wasnt that carried away with Killultugh Vic s performance too. It's impossible to say whether he would of won. He didnt and based on the back of a fall I wouldn't want to back him in the Gold Cup.

I would rather be in the camp of Might Bite, Sizing John, Road to Respect or Native River..

To be fair that was only K Vic's third start over fences. Wasn't the greatest round of jumping but he can only improve. Be interesting to see how he goes. Actually think Edwulf has a Decent each way chance. A lot of them ruled themselves out yesterday and there isn't many other around.
