What has Maclaren done as a football manager in England? Nothing at Midds Derby Forest so why would Radz offer a loser a job. Yes he was shyte at the England job but did well in Holland winning the league but nothing since.
It's highly probable. Firstly Siaz would not be banned and we might have won the 4th round match as well so confidence would be completely different. The game against Hull could have been rearranged for a later date to give the players the rest which seems to be so paramount. We'll never know of course so it's just my opinion.
Let's be honest we are not going anywhere this season, so hopefully we will not rush a new appointment(well not to much anyway.) otherwise we will be repeating ourselves In 12 months time. Am I happy no, would have much preferred better results and that the new system worked. Was it all down to TC, I doubt it but he did have to go. If Orta remains which I think he will, I hope his bum is twitching, he should not be able to impose players on the manager/coach. Still not convinced about Radz after the new badge affair, which told me all I needed to know about his lack of foresight regarding Leeds United and our history. Don't like people who try and con supporters, or anyone for that matter, Radz has a lot to prove to me now and I don't forgive easily. If he does appoint wally man then I will be writing him off. Rant over For now
This is the same board responsible for the badge design fiasco, so why am I not full of confidence about their next move?
The timing is woeful given the number of suspensions and injuries to key players. Anyone coming in now is almost certain to lose the first 2 matches unless they can work miracles. That immediately puts them on the back foot and the players start to doubt the new coaches ability right from the off. Better to have waited 2 weeks and see how things went in my view. Problem is the guys making the decisions actually think that by acting now there is still a chance of the play offs. They are completely deluded and have not thought through the football side of things correctly.
There is no time like the present, put things off for two weeks then another two so on and so forth. Remember tomorrow?
Fair enough I guess. Anyone any idea who will be taking training this week as apparently his assistants and the fitness coach have been sacked as well.
There’s been more sackings. From Phil Hay Christiansen's assistants, Julio Banuelos and Paul Butler, have also left Leeds, along with fitness coach Ivan Torres. #lufc
It likely won’t be someone in employment as we’d struggle to attract anyone and compensation would have to be paid. Best look at list of unemployed managers or coaches
Firstly, let's stop the bile aimed at TC, it's unnecessary ... he had some tough breaks thanks to key players getting injured or letting him down ... take yesterday for example, how the fcuk was he supposed to cope with Pontus getting a freak injury and Berardi acting like a total tool ... TC did his best, behaved with dignity and professionalism and was a good man to represent our club ... unfortunately, it's a results business and a second wobble this season was enough to get him sacked ... thanks to TC for his hard work, it's appreciated, and good luck to the man for the future ... he was so much better a person than cnuts like Hockaday, Colin W@nker, Wise, Mr Blobby and Redders who were proper fcuking clowns way out of their depth at Leeds Secondly, there seems to be a common theme with Leeds this season that I've been looking at closely, and it's been confirmed recently ... I went to the U23s v Brum, and was also at the Cardiff game, and there are some clear similarities ... we have players at both Academy and Senior levels who can definitely play, real talent and skill ... here's the common issue ... they all seem to struggle against physical teams, and the Championship has a stack of those ... the U23s played some quality stuff, at times passed Brum into dizziness, but they were poor at making a tackle and putting a foot in ... this kept Brum in the game, and prevented the U23s from registering a good win, having to settle for a come from behind 2-2 draw... there is a lot of talent in the U23s, lads who can easily set the Championship alight. but they will need to toughen up first on what I've seen our First team is pretty much the same ... against Millwall and Cardiff, with ten men, there were times when Leeds played amazing stuff and sliced the opposition to bits ... however, when it came to fronting up, too many went missing ... it is a common thread in this league, you have to be able to fight and earn the right to play your football ... Wolves are top because they have some astonishing talent who are genuinely way too good for this league, but they do the nasty stuff as well ... whoever comes in as boss will need to put some steel into our players, otherwise it will end up being a limp to the end of the season ... teams have worked Leeds out, and they know that all they need to do is get at them and ruffle their feathers and the rest will take care of itself ... never thought I'd see the day that Leeds were regarded as a soft touch
Good points Billy. One question though, how do you put steel into players the size of Alioski, Saiz, roofe or Hernandez. All small little fellas that I can’t see adapting to the more physical stuff
