Much exaggerated as usual. We bought Abel as we sold long for more, who wouldn't stay even tough Bruce wanted him to. . So there's 12 million off the total. Cooper. Lol. So nowhere near 40 million spent then. Good got that cleared up. Any thoughts on barmby and Pearson refusing to play mcshane the bestest defender ever? Thought not.
I recall he played well vs Birmingham, then a steady decline. He was never blessed with pace, but managed to get away with it due to his reading of the game, now he seems to have lost both in buckets. The defeat to Bristol was the pinnacle. Giving the ball away as soon as he came on, which led to their equaliser. Since then he's been awful....As for Ireland, they are hardly over running with skilful midfield players and playing with better players makes him look a lot better than he is.
what's Macca got to do with anything - he was never the greatest Hull City player but was always significantly better than Junior who cant even get into a League 1 side now THAT he doesn't have his dad to pick him any more and whats the Long sale got to do with anything - you're the one who keeps ranting about how much we've spent this season and so we should be doing better - did you also subtract the minus £50 million for the sale of Clucas, Maguire, Robertson, Davies, Huddlestone, Elmo etc - course you didn't
Regardless of how much was spent, Bruce brought in his own players and was responsible for their performances. They weren't good enough, we went down. He then sensibly bought some strong Championship players and then developed them into a side capable of bouncing back. Then he ****ed off. The McGregor mistake in Europe was just that. Bruce didn't order the mistake, but he was responsible for picking the team that failed to win and could have changed the game tactically. The mistake should have been also-rans against a team like that, but instead it contributed. It was the home tie that cost us anyway, as we went out on away goals. You can't pin one mistake on 120 minutes of football and claim that was the reason we went out. Bruce was responsible for ensuring we got through and we didn't, there's no other responsibility there than his. We did not take the Europa League qualifiers seriously, perhaps because financially it didn't make sense to given that PL survival was more important. Whether Bruce thought that the fixture pile up would have an adverse effect on the players, we will never know. But either way, it was a crying shame. The season itself was up and down, much like our last PL season. We had a chance to survive, but we didn't manage it. The January recruitment again cost us that season, with just N'Doye and Luer coming in for peanuts. The Allams had nobody advising them, either because there literally was nobody or they did but they weren't listening. For a team that's just been relegated from the PL, we've spent relatively bugger all to try and bounce back again and the result is what we see before us. The teams that have recruited properly are now sat near the top of the league and are reaping the benefits.
Can you explain how Brucey didn't take seriously? Maybe tell players like rosenior Davies Chester it was just a knockabout and don't try too hard lads? He didn't "**** off" he was driven out. Big difference.
You can if you are shazza . Those of us who see the bigger picture regarding Bruce, and are able to drag ourselves off FIFA 18 for more than a minute, can see that it was as you say Sterling, a crying shame that a gift of an opportunity was spurned the way it was.
What a shamble the club is, obviously Dawson gave his groan injury as an excuse not to play, so keeping him was a mistake IMO. If he was so keen to go, then better he goes, as what we have now is a player that is not interested and has his hackles up. We don't seem any better under Adkins overall, defensively better, but at the expense of attacking flair. Though, the whole problems comes from the top,
Here's an interesting one.... someone posted on HC Facebook that Karanka had stated that Dawson had passed a medical, I hadn't seen that reported. That being the case, did Dawsons injury come as a result of kicking Escabs door in...?
...... someone posted on Facebook? We can take that to the bank and spend it then; bet it wasn't even a taxi driver either!
How could they be a taxi driver when they won’t even be old enough to apply for a driving licence? I’d guess they don’t even look old enough to get into the snooker club.
He left Jelavic and Huddlestone on the bench and started with Sagbo and Aluko up front, despite us being a goal down from the first leg. That's not a serious attacking line up is it?
The jelavic who was late back from the World Cup andhadnt done a full preseason and wasn't fully fit? Ye that one.
The season had started Jelavic had done plenty of training, had played and was fine to play. Quite possibly the worst thing I remember from this sorry situation was Bruce blowing his own trumpet the weekend after about how inspired a decision it was to field a weakened team and limp out of Europe because if he hadn't we wouldn't have managed to earn a ****ing point against bastarding Stoke at home!!! He was a ****ing prick.
