    Hopefully Gayle can have one of those special performances that players sometimes have against their old clubs (and Cabaye doesn't!). Certainly need to see something better from him than the usual.

    Ritchie and Shelvey are both overdue a good performance too.

    It’s going through the whole squad at an alarming rate.

    Darlow has flapateverythingitis but was passed fit despite showing signs of blindness and problems with his hand to eye co-ordination.

    If Gayle needs subbing off then Perez could push up or Atsu play there at a push. Can't be any worse than Joselu and better than risking a worsening of Slimani's injury.
