Duc De Genievres to run a massive race and maybe - just maybe - cause a huge upset

Really poor turnout from the English trainers this weekend. Henderson preferring some absolute non event listed hurdles for his best novice and best open age 2 milers when he could have won really good money and supported a decent event.

I don't have "total recall" what I was doing in " sutton place" with "samcro" but "our duke" said he had a "contingency" plan to meet Mr "Colreevy" at "Hells Kitchen" with "Espoir Dallen"

They are supporting a decent event at Musselburgh (who probably need it more if truth be told <ok>)

I take the point but it’s not really comparable in terms of achievement and prize money. A major criticism of Willie on here is he avoids running his horses. Henderson doing exactly that and not a single complaint.

I agree it is disappointing Bob but if you look at the bigger picture, we have Cheltenham round the corner, then Aintree, then Punchestown. And it is only 5 weeks since the Christmas festivals. There are only so many big races that can be squashed into the schedule and I think what most connections would want at this time of year is a prep run for the upcoming festivals to put their charges spot on, and that is what Buveur D’Air got yesterday.

Looks a belter Bob. Chance taken on Paloma Blue for me. Obviously its taking a big step up for this and although i'm not suggesting its going to be turning over Samcro i am saying that at 28/1 it looks a monster price to play ew.

The current power axis being in Ireland as last year's dismal festival results by the home team obviously put them off. My view is quite the opposite when you look at some of yesterday's card, jaysus that first Grade One yesterday was totally up for grabs by any half decent English novice. Fabulous Saga fav <rofl> The Champion Hurdle was ripe for raiding, where was The New One, Tent, the Champion hurdler running in a listed race?!! Imagine that was Mullins done that! As Oddy says the timing is so good between Christmas and six weeks from the Fez plenty of good opportunities to pick up a tidy prize cheque rather than race for buttons somewhere no one cares about!

Total Recall at 11/8 surely the bet of the weekend. Been backed since this morning but 30lb well in, if this doesn't win easy I'd be gobsmacked.

Interesting A Fleming sends two over to Musselburgh today, Chain Gang and Wonder of the World both 14/1, might be worth e/w dabble singles/double

Albeit him and Tom do have a 0/13 record when teaming up

Short price for a 16 horse race though, and that Elliott one who is 4 years younger than him could be something very good
