I don’t know exactly where we are now, still in the top half, but unlike last time we were in the Championship, nearer mid table.

And that's been my point all along. The budget we have should still have us higher up the table.
With only a few exceptions the teams with the highest budgets tend to be at the top.

Unlike most Championship clubs, who have a £20m wage budget spread across their whole squad, we had half of that tied up in a handul of players and tried to cobble a squad together with what was left.

The whole point of the parachute money is to prevent this from happening.

In 40 odd years of supporting City two managers have given me the greatest City supporting days of my life, Phil Brown for Wembley and the London 4-0 games and Steve Bruce two promotions the FA Cup final, and Lokeren, probably the best away days ever.

    I want to kill Ehab

Cobble a squad. We paid money for Toral, Dicko andIrvine. We got Larsson and Campbell in who will be on good wages.

We made a net £35m on player sales and reduced the wage bill by two thirds, when getting rid of quality players and replacing them with cheaper untested kids and loans, I’d call it cobbling.

But as you said we have a top half wage bill. The only kids are the two full backs. And we paid a few million for a left back that's injured.
Mebbe if we had more kids like Bowen...

More importantly, mebbe if we had less ****s like the Allams. Still what do I know and sadly I'm getting to the point of no longer caring. Perhaps I'll hibernate and come out when they're gone. The ****ing bastards are killing the joy of supporting/following City.

Others can say what they like but this is fact.
It shouldn't however deflect blame away from the Allams who have destroyed our club and the great foundation laid by others since our move from BP to KC. They will likely leave us in a similar mess to how we were pre-KC. ****s.

    Is it **** fact.
We were always going to be a yo yo club for years. Bruce got us back up again, piece of piss that isn't it.
Look at the money Bruce made for the club buying Clucas Maguire etc.

I wish we had a manager as **** as some silly ****s like you and Charon think Bruce is.

I think because to sum of us , finishing 17th in the premier league isn't the be all and end all , same as when people argue they would rather see city stay up than win a cup . Getting through to the Europa league group stages would of been amazing and at this moment in time looks like it could be near impossible to get anywhere near for a long time, if ever , I think it was taken for granted just what an opportunity that was for a club like ours

    Very good point askew.

I 'bet' the odds on Lester surviving that season would have been as long if not longer, as them winning the league.

So to summarise, it's Nigel Pearson's fault.

****ing hilarious - the increase in transfer values had almost everything to do with the increase in tv money - Maguires value increased significantly because of the exposure he got under Marco Silva - Brucie farmed Maguire out to Wigan so he could play Junior - clearly worth more than Maguire which is why Maguire wanted out at the time - Brucie must have brought in 30 players in his time here of which 4 or 5 went up in value - most of them left for **** all

Go through this 40 million. I'm dying to know.

Most went for **** all cos they were limited players he did well with. Look at the fa cup final team. Tell me where they all are now.
Mcshane was a ****ingjoke barmby and pearsonshipped out and wouldn't have out to do with. Bruce resurrected his career.

Difference of opinion makes us silly ****s. **** off you silly ****, grow up.

Back to the facts. The Allams refused to give Bruce further money. That's how it was. And spent little since, doing minimum they thought they needed for us to continue to be successful (deluded).

    Abel - £10mill
    Jake - £8mill
    Snod - £7mill
    Mag/Robo - £5 miill
    Daws - £4mill
    Diame - £4mill

theres £38 million - and we got relegated - and whilst your at it - he gave Cairney and Cooper away for £500k between them - they're now worth at least £20 million between them - he gave them away so he could play Meyler and Junior - worth **** all then and worth **** all now - so £20 million right down the ****ter - that's why the Allams didn't trust Brucie with spending any more money
