Sounds like Leitner has settled in already.

It was a bit of a grim watch - like watching a game of chess with your eyes closed but at least we won.

Positives - Tettey was immense and should have been MOTM, we looked solid defensively and Leitner looks pure class and a very good signing.

Negatives - toothless up front although Basil had a good game in every other respect, often took one pass too many when a shot looked on and our build up was so s-l-o-w at times that I had time to have a wee, get a coffee and a pie and return to my seat and we were still stroking the ball across the back five.

Nonetheless we won and deserved to.

    Bah !

Watched on ifollow. Solid controlled performance. Borough best moments came immediately after the sending off. But after that never looked likely to do anything. We lacked the ideas, or movement to get a 2nd goal. Leitner is a class act, some of his passing was sublime. Nelson played well, held the ball up. Nice strike by Tom gives us the 3 points. Hernandez showed he has something to offer. Not exciting, but a win is a win, and another clean sheet.

Just back home from the game and I must say OCF has summed things up perfectly. We are now playing typical continental football under DF (tippy, tippy, sideways, backwards etc).
While we keep scraping wins the fans will put up with it, but if those slender wins turn into draws and defeats the crowd is sure to turn.
We continue to try to walk the ball into the net through the middle of the park and play with little or no width. This is England Mr Farke we don’t do boring football, we crave exciting wing play and attacking stuff. Basically watching us play (especially for the neutral), is akin to watching paint dry.
However as has been said, we did win but only just against 10 men for over an hour.

P.S. I’m not p1ssed JM Fan only had 4 pints coupled with mushrooms en croute, roast beef and pork carvery, cheese and biscuits and coffee ;)

To be fair to the team and Farke, it is often said that one of the teams in a match going down to ten men before half time can result in a dull slow match, especially if the team with eleven nab a goal relatively quickly. The ten men basically sit back to preserve energy and settle for damage limitation, so everybody yawns their way to full time.

Of course we’ve not looked that creative for weeks, but I just mean this game might not be the measure of it.

Four wins in five is great, though it’s annoying we’re not climbing the table.

As someone who didn't see the game, how sublime can the passing be if it is creating very little? I'm glad to hear that we controlled the match and looked comfortable, but at home against 10 men that' really the least we should hope for.

    Bah!

Back to binary code results only 1s and 0s in Farke life.
I am enjoying these clean sheets , I don't remember a time as a city fan when after scoring I'm not chewing my nails knowing we are going to **** it up especially under Neil.
I have confidence in Gunny and the 3 centre backs to nullify the opposition.

Being a team that has a reputation for shutting out games is actually very satisfying .
Just getting 2 goals in a game seems greedy now due to our flaccid strike force .

Think you can only watch the game on iFollow if you live outside of the UK.

Bit early to say, they're only 3 points off 11th! Crazy tight relegation battle in the PL this season.

I did have a little giggle when I saw they'd dropped to second bottom.

    Bah!

It's an interesting conundrum for Farke, what changes do you make?

5 at the back seems excessive at home, particularly without a marauding Pinto, but I can see why you'd want to protect Reed in an unfamiliar role. I can well imagine had it been 0-0 at 60 mins we'd have sacrificed a CB for an attacking threat, but with a lead to defend I can understand why you wouldn't.

In midfield, Tettey gets rave reviews and Trybull the goal. Yet we can't play Tettey without someone alongside him who can pass, and without Tettey we're too lightweight. So it's tricky to solve that conundrum.

Which leaves our attacking trio. Maddison is of course untouchable, so do you replace Murphy with a second striker and ask the wingbacks to cross more? Or Murphy for Leitner and double down on passing through the centre?

    What would people change?

Just bought a Fire stick and you can get a 3pm stream but it was Leeds Cardiff today.
Is I follow any good ?
