Feel sick as I was given Off You Go earlier today but chose not to back it even though it was staring me in the face running off bottom weight.Still few of my mates were on so they can pay for the beers tonight!
Buveur Dair is the best hurdler since Binocular, not everyday you get a horse who can hurdle like that, hes also got a top class engine. Faugheens hurdling has always been shocking, got away with it when no one outside his stable had a champion hurdle horse. Now Henderson has one. You can set your watch by My Tent and he beat him just as easily as Annie Power who you all thought was the new Dawn Run.
I think My Tent or Yours has a chance in the Champion hurdle this year. Turned a corner by winning at cheltenham in December and he looks like he means business to me. I have backed him last 2 years too. I always think that with the same owner having multiple runners in the race that often throws up funny results. Often the bridesmaid is the Tent but JP and Henderson clearly admire the horse and I m sure they would love him to win a champion hurdle.
6 15 Kempton - Sea Fox, 12/1 could be a very generous price, easiest task for a long while and clearly has some talent. Only problem is my money will be on it!
Massive error on my part today, not checking that useless bints selections. Faugheen my only loser in a fivefold. I guess you do deserve to lose backing fivefolds!
So by that he's the best hurdler since Annie Power, not Binocular. Don't think anyone is arguing that. Makes him about 170ish. Really good. Not a superstar. It's not really going to matter anyway, he's got nothing to beat at the Festival. Won't matter if he wins by a nose or ten lengths.
When I say best hurdler, I mean his technique. Hurricane Fly you have to say has probably been the best for a long time. Buveur Dair could win 3 Champion Hurdles but hell need to keep winning those Christmas Hurdles and Aintree Hurdles to be put up with the Fly, long way to go.
Think Ryan will have a double tonight with RIPP ORF and MHB. After a very good night at Kempers on Thursday night I will try my luck again tonight with these lot to either win or place. PACO FILLY (P) RIPP ORF (W) No Bet but would go with either BUNGEE JUMP/ELITE SHADOW MHB (W) HUMBERT (W) SKY MARSHALL (W&P)
First proper winner of the year finally, forgot what it felt like haha! Cheers all, and sorry Mick hope you'll let me off that one!
Funnily enough if Kempton wasn't on the banned courses list that would of been a system selection, still can't get away from the system being involved somehow
Can't really see lightning striking twice in one night but really like Boutan in the 8 15 at 33/1 another massive price, potentially very well treated, hasn't run non-jumps for nearly 2 years but if it takes to poly track, Ed's only ride, Grace only runner, horse back on a winning mark and this race is pretty crap. Might just spring a surprise, either way one for the notebook win or lose
Would of been another very good night had it not been for Ryan Moore. Only race not to bet on and I get the fc. Oh well onto tomorrow.
No such thing as a dead cert for me... Do you see no possibility that My Tent or Yours will beat Buvair D'Air then? Will Faugheen now run in the stayers? Has an entry....
