I don't believe the Leicester myths. They're a team that runs itself - Nigel Pearson created it and started the run, and should get way more credit than he has done. Ranieri oversaw it and admittedly aided with some good vibes and some wining experience, but the team basically ran (and is still to an extent running) itself - they had some amazing players, have held on to a decent selection of them, and haven't changed their approach. Its a dream job for a manager, as it comes with a formula and manual. You just have to keep the players vaguely happy.
Yeah I said earlier that was the only thing more pathetic than the team selection. Absolutely shocking and nights tonight remind me why I don't do home games and why I won't really be all that bothered if we go down. Our fanbase has become one of the most spoilt and self entitled in the league and I despise it. I actually had let's say a 'disagreement' with someone too over this. Not everyone gave up though, there was fair few that were up for it for most of the match but no where near enough to be heard properly sadly. We joined in with "sing when we're drawing" too
Actually, on the fans part. If an opposition set of fans gets wind of the fact that you’re basically a bunch of grumpy ****ers, it spurs them on too.
Funny how we see things differently. I thought they were pretty poor for a localish away game. Very quiet second half even before we scored.
They had quiet moments, but when they were loud, they were very loud. I’ve heard better though, sure.
ON a slightly more positive note, how did Carrillo look when he came on? Obviously hasn't been here that long but did he look alright?
Were they the group singing songs about their team and encouraging their players along? Yes, I thought so too. Put us to shame. After 5 minutes, felt like we were the away team.
I thought he looked pretty sharp with a few nice touches. Probably not the best game to gauge though.
Very crude snapshot review of 45 minutes in a **** game: He worked hard and did a couple of good things. He got beaten in the air more times than he won it, but he never gave up and could prove useful. He didn’t look a top drawer striker, but he did have something of the Pelle about him in terms of physique.
I thought the fans (that includes me) were really quiet. However, my hearing aid battery did die and I left the replacements in the car so I was only down to one ear so I thought that was it. (True story)
Don't know why you seem surprised... It's the same every week up and down the country. We are particularly bad at present though.
Would just be great to have someone to knock down balls etc for runners to come onto. Where those runners come from is another matter...
In my usual spot. Kingsland, level with the goal line, two thirds back up. My lad thought he saw you when we got to the ground, but didn’t say anything time until we were in the queue for our turnstile. Did you walk outside he Kingsland towards he Northam car park 10 minutes or so to kick off?
