    IF he was around £7m, then I'd assume they would probably pay over a few years. So I'd guess about £3-4m outstanding (with no evidence to support any of it).

    I'll have a go.....'Hull City AFC have won promotion to the Premier League three times in the last ten years and are recent FA Cup Finalist are currently going through transmission period with a new manager and his back room staff building a new team. It will take time, obviously, after a bad start to the season we first have to secure our place in the Championship. The new manager is currently unbeaten at home and only getting beaten by the odd goal away, the job is far from complete which is why we want a player of your calibre and experience to strengthen our young squad......................................

    Dawson ? Fine servant, good club man, but on the wrong side of 30. Of course he would be looking for a longer contract and if his old club are offering one he must be very tempted. Who knows City might match it ? If they don't then its a no brainer for Daws. If City sell they get their arses kicked, if they refuse to sell him does Dawson sulk for the rest of the season or does he honour the contract he has already signed ?
    Growicki staying somewhat kick's a few of the conspiracy theories into touch as does other players who have been touted in the local media for weeks as being 'on their way in the next window'
    ( looks at watch and puts tin hat on.....).
