we let messa go and fulton go and sign a player who isn't as good if we sign King, I think he is a bang average midfield player and hope we go nowhere near him. So as I have said that and don't rate him, he is nailed on to be signed.
Out of curiosity. did West Ham still owe us anything as part of his move to them. just wondering as that could be why we moved for him.
Don't know for sure but more than likely TLF. Most transfers these days are paid in installments so they could well still owe us from Ayews original deal.

With only just over 6 hours left I think you can forget about any deals now other than for home based players.
I think King from Leicester is first choice loan signing, if that doesn't go through then Markovic deal I thought the complaint was we had too many similar players, so we get rid of Massa and Fulton then sign a Clucas clone? Don't understand it
As per Jenkins the Oracle, the permanent deal for Ayew and loan deal (I don't understand that) for Leicester King will both go through within the next hour. By the hairs on my wrist then, that's 18:45. So King therefor no Markovic? can't say I'm that worried tbh, but I still don't get King. McBurnie to Barnsley. Can't stop him, the kid wants to play. I prefer him to Abraham though.
nothing there that makes we think we have improved our side. Ayew on his day will score a few goals. but overall a lazy luxury player and in signing King and letting Fulton and Messa go, in my opinion we have weakened the squad not improved it. We are pathetic.
Only Swansea could weaken their squad in the January transfer window on the back of 2 great wins. sums up our club and board at the moment.
But you're beating top 6 sides. Excellent result to double up on the Liverpool win. One loss in 8 for the new man. You have to be pleased with that.
That's why we should be strengthening the squad not weakening it. I am happy with the way we are performing but a few injuries and we are ****ed again as squad is now so thin.
Take the names out of the equation what we've done is disposed of two defensively oriented CMs (Messa and Fulton) and brought in an AM/RM (Ayew) and a CM/RM/LM (King). So on paper anyway, we've shifted the balance of our midfield from being predominantly centrally defensive to a more balanced midfield with added attacking elements in an AM and RM/LM capabilities. Remember though RM and LM are not wingers but wide midfielders, wingers would be outside them. So, on paper, we have a more balanced squad now.
Great to see Ayew back. I liked him last time and i like him now....I think he will be an asset just like his brother is...
If carvalhal has a game plan and knows the players he wants to execute the plan you may think the individual is weaker but it may make the team stronger. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Carvahal would have had no say in who we sign it will be that prick Jenkins. if you think he went to the board and asked for King and Ayew then. enough said.
Surely we’re signing McBurnie up for a longer contract before loaning since he only has 6 months left
So you think King is an improvement on what we have. I sort of get ayew but not king no matter where he plays we already have players as good as him and he adds nothing but another sub. He is a bang average player I get it if we had signed a starter in the position King plays. It is just lazy from the board and shows we have absolutely no scouting in place.
