I say what. Where is the Liuetenants own Lieutenant when you need him. Simonsigs half sister out again tomorrow and not even a Whisper although now that I have mentioned it I guess he Might Bite. A couple of interesting observations regarding that race at Lingfield tomorrow. First, Olly Murphy runs Foxtrot Juliet in the colours of Foxtrot Racing. The filly is owned by Ollys father who has loaned her to Foxtrot for the season. Word is that she is pretty useful. Second, half sisters are in opposition with Buildmeupbuttercup and Oriental Flame set to line up. Buttercup won on debut and the form has worked out pretty well. I wonder if her sibling has as much ability. She is a year older and a much bigger price. No tip and no bet from me but I shall watch with great interest. Keep your feet in the stirrups little Danny....tally ho!
A real value selection in the opener at Lingfield tomorrow. OBORNE LADY 14/1 Lingfield 1:00 She met plenty of trouble in running over course and distance on debut but finished to really good effect. They then took her to Huntingdon for a very hot listed race but she was out of her depth. Back here in what looks the much weaker of the two divisons she will surely outrun her odds. I expect she will go off much shorter!
Morning 4.25 Southwell Taking on the hot favourite with a couple Street Poet @ 6-1 [Paddy Power] & Rivers Of Asia @ 7-1 [Ladbrokes] 1pt win on each
Todays double from Alex the Albatross is SIMONIA (1.30) & TARA BRIDGE (3.45). Can she stop the Lieutenants good thing?
Reckon Jedd O'Keeffe's unraced maiden Pretty Moi is worth 0.5pts e/w in the Souhwell 2.50. 16/1 in a few places. Only 5 run. I'm just making a deduction from his bald, enigmatic Fbook post this morn. Edit: Also, S'll 4.25 STREET POET 1 pt e/w 11/2 most places. 9 run. Fancied, I do believe. 2nd 11/4
Change of yards and decent jockey up and my only bet of the day in the 4:15 Lingfield. Rocket Ronnie 7/1 Win.
Hammond has a blog with a few fancies on Sporting Life website. Bad news for those thinking Apples Shakira is unbeatable in the Triumph and McCain may as well not waste the diesel sending What Happens Now up to Mussleburgh on Saturday. If however you think Definitly Red isn't without a chance in the Gold Cup she's not keen at all. 16/1 available.
