He wasn't as the replayed showed, the ball was past him before he knew it. Lee mason is shocking most games anyway so I'm not suprised , as for the Lino , no excuse.
So a player could stand a couple of yards in front of the keeper and still not be offside because the keeper is never getting there?
Surely the offence has only taken place when play is interefered with. If the goalkeeper wasn't affected by Sane's position, then play hasn't been interfered with.
No, but in my view he wasn’t interfering. He was 12 yards from The keeper and about 8 from the ball. If you watch the keeper he doesn’t move his head once, but follows the ball all the way..... into the net. A more important question is how the hell did the lino know he was in the keepers line of vision if that is what he flagged for? He must have super vision that can see on a different plane.
Maybe Saints goal-shy strikers should take a lesson from young Aberdeen CB Scott McKenna`s strike on Saturday against Kilmarnock - the ball and net are somewhere in Norway, I understand.
Just watched it, cracking strike. Couldn’t help thinking that for Aberdeen’s first, they seem a lot less namby pamby about trampling keepers in Scotland than in England! That 3rd goal by Niall McGinn was pretty special too.
