    As a specialist in flounce off threads I'm sure he will duly oblige. So hang tight 'It'll be like being at a real flounce off'.

    HIAG is the forum's no1 expert at emptying the contents of his handbag out and then steaming off in a huff. <laugh>

    It's only right and fair to hand the mic to HIAG now, and maybe after his Hotel California solo he'll hopefully give us an insight to his thoughts on what his peers have said.

    @Hoddle Is A God

    when are you going to apologise to Piskie and Ginger - neither of them have posted actual links and you have confirmed that, so your allegation is as false as everything you post

    Funnily enough, I was just running through that solo. I haven’t played it in years.

    I don’t very often do gigs anymore, but been asked to do a mate’s 60th gig and his Mrs loves the song.

    Correct! He has a chance to show everybody he can be a bigger man instead of the snivelling weasel we all know he is. I'd say you were wasting your time personally.

    It's the most celebrated and loved guitar solo in the world mate, congrats on being able to play it.

    But you might play it better with Joe Walsh accompanying you.

    It is complicated, and basically follows the chord progression.

    It’s in Bmin. Nothing too difficult apart from one or two tone and a half bends.

    Those who play will understand.

    No.

    The opening is played on a 12 string.

    I love the guitar. You can lose yourself in music when it all comes together. You just kind of go onto another plane and your fingers play what’s in your mind.

    Better than any drug when it all comes together.
