Good spot this - double so far with Black Art (7/2) and Blottos (11/8) - waiting on Never Up (7/2) for the third leg of my trixie
I did. Work on the theory these days that every race with a Newland runner in you can find a spot of value.
Similar here but as well as Jury Duty and Bigmartre I've had Forge Meadow and Burrenbridge Hotel today. All looked to be winning after the last and not a fookin bean back. To add insult to injury I actually though Bigmatre won yesterday as I was out and watching it on my phone. The signal went about 100 yards from the line and I assumed it had won .
I seriously thought Bigmarte had just held on, disappointing camera angle and didn't even see a photo either.
Bigmartre looks a nice horse and I was very impressed with the way he jumped the last couple of fences when under pressure from a seasoned old pro in Duke of Navan. Around 33/1 for either Arkle or JLT. There'll be worse ew pokes during Cheltenham week for sure.
That last race at Sedgefield is an awful affair. It wouldnt surprise me if the youngster SIMPLY BUSINESS didnt improve enough to win it on his stable debut.
4 winners but a loss of £4.10 on the singles. Just one small forecast up, loss of £2.55 on those. Overall loss £6.55. Will keep trying these, might vary selection process.
And of course its a Mullins favourite that let's me down. When will I ever learn. The amount of accas that man has cost me is ridiculous.
Did you watch mate. I would like to give Patrick the doubt and say he knew the horse didnt have much left in the tank but............. also......did you spot the blatant non-trier?
Its my own fault mate. Its one of them where you think, how can i pad a bet out a bit, oh yeah a Mullins favourite in Ireland that should do it. There's so many of them a false price because of who is so its not really a surprise or at least it shouldn't be a surprise when they don't run to the markets expectation. But then look at earlier in the card and he's smashed it so tit for tat! Thats gambling for you.
Was it the Ted Walsh horse? To be fair if the Irish authorities looked to clamp down on non triers in bumpers and maiden hurdles races they'd need to massively increase their stewarding resources. Easy to hide in a big field.
Yeah it does! Although good value on TV ol Ted has always struck me as a bit dodgy. I suspect the young amateur jockey will be getting a bit of a bollocking for making it look so obvious. He's got a lot to learn in the dark arts .
