I think that Robinson tries too hard to impress the Charlton Supporters. I also think that he contradicts himself. What I don't fault is commitment to make us better. What he has to do is just concentrate on winning matches.
Doodoo is history, he has been flushed way - now straight from the arse (palarse that is) we have Kaikai https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5a...ign-sullay-kaikai-on-loan-from-crystal-palace I'm sure Karl Robinson is 'over the moon' at his latest four-month long addition to the squad - and we still have room for one more loanee! Good luck to Kaikai, I hope he does well. Whether we get promoted or not, our squad is going to look a bit thin this summer when he and the other loanees return to their parent clubs. However, with our entire future unknown while we wait for RD to pull his head out of his backside, I suppose we just have to live for the moment.
We don't have room for one more loan. We have five which is all you are allowed in a match day squad. Amos, DaSilva, Mavididi, Zyro, Kaikai.
Kaikai ...signs for us gets first team football goes back to Palace a better player...great I’m thrilled to bits we have signed him...NOT
There never was a long term strategy of Charlton under Duchatelet - we were only supposed to be a training facility and feeder Club for Standard Liege and the rest of the network. Even though that plan went belly up long ago, no long term planning of any kind ever emerged to replace it. I don't know what the hell our worthless CEO was actually doing for 4 years. Now our only plan is to throw as many loanees at our promotion campaign as possible. If Robinson somehow pulls it off and gets us back into the Championship we had better hope the whole summer is not wasted while Duchatelet wrings every penny he can out of a potential buyer. Because unless a lot of really well planned reconstruction goes on, Charlton will be torn to pieces by the demands of Championship football. Our squad has been gradually gutted over the past couple of seasons.
I was sceptical of da Silva at first because of his size, he must have shared a growbag with @baraettmattesvensson He has proved himself to be a very decent player who can definitely play at a higher level - unlikely to be with Chelski though
According to Karl Robinson (a passing remark) Michal Zyro "needs more minutes to get fit". https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5a...sullay-kaikai-signing-and-the-transfer-window I suppose I should not be surprised to hear that, but nonetheless it's not the best thing to read after the disappointment of a postponed match today. I appreciate KR is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't when it comes to commenting on players' fitness. But Stephy Mavididi hit the ground running this season, so why can't seemingly any of our other recruits?
If Burnley get holding then that will be one out of the chase for Konsa. Think this one will run until deadline day. We will then bemoan the transfer window and cite a lack of time preventing us to sign anyone.
League 2 Crawley Town want KAG on loan. I think we should let him go - as a striker he is about as much use as a one legged man in an arse licking contest.
