Not sure I believe that tbh. I reckon we'll stick with him now unless things get really bad. (rightly or wrongly)
I voted yes, on the basis I think he is a better manager than Pellegrino. If the board are backing Pellegrino then results MUST improve, staying the same will see us relegated. Hell of a gamble.
Hughes? The Mirror must be joking. He wouldn't want to come to a club where he hasn't got control of the transfer targets just look at his record of ....well I am aware of the libel laws Rather than a recycled old failure I would like to see a continuation of looking for gems with fresh ideas. Some work and some don't, our last four two were excellent, one was dull and successful and then there's MP. Not a bad shout but would like to see us gamble on someone like Rowet, Johnson, Cook etc
Of the three teams who get relegated this season, at least two of them will have sacked and replaced a manager.
Boufal is not a playmaker though and has showed nothing to make us think he can be one. He's a dribbler who likes to take on his man (and then a couple more), and not someone who dictates tempo and makes defence splitting passes regularly. Therefore he should be played wide left, on his.preffered position.
How about the previous 50 odd games? An assist here and then doesnt suddenly mean he is a quailty player with a lethal delivery
It's all about form mate. When a player is in good form, you keep playing them. When they're not, don't play them. Lukaku went 10 or so games without scoring for Utd. And he cost 90m.
Hardly a great assist, it was from him missing a fairly simple chance. Does it even count as an assist? I can see what long brings to the table, but it's not what we need at the moment. We need another Charlie (or him back) to stick the ball in the net! Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Oh come on. He got his boot to it before anyone else and forced the goalie to parry it. If that's not an assist I don't know what is. If Guido had done it, we'd all be creaming in our pants.
Maybe he just needs a "minder". Someone who can play close to him to pick up the pieces when he inevitably goes for one dribble too many ............?
Long has been very important to us in recent games....must be one of the first names on the team sheet. Yes, he should be scoring, but he is involved somehow in almost every goal, so he is obviously troubling the opposition. We may need a hotshot scorer, but, in the absence of that, why would you drop the player who is in the creative mix for others. Some fans want Gabbi to be given a chance, but can Mauricio afford the luxury of giving him time to get his eye in at this critical stage. Tough on Gabbi because if we were flying he might have been given chances, but there is something about him that MP2 doesn't like. Guido is considered to be an Austin-type player (though he is his own man as Mauricio pointed out)....let's hope he really hits it off with Long.
Эта новость меня пугает BREAKING: Sky Sources: @SouthamptonFC agree record deal for Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes. More to follow. #SaintsFC #SSNHQ Not sure how legit this is.....still think Gaitan will be the plan B if Promes deal fails. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
