Of course not. That is not what he implied and you know it. But what is the master plan then for the post Holloway era given those circumstances? Another throw of the dice? Prayer? You didn't answer my last question and left it to Stan to do so Perhaps you might find this one easier?
So he has to cover the fine and buy new players from his own pocket? Club is still making a loss. Need a manager who can get more out of what we have got.
Think he said he'd cover the 2013/2014 one. Breaching FFP now can be penalised not only with a fine but a points deduction = relegation, transfer embargo, and the Guilotene in Trafalgar Square for all Owners and Managers of the Club failing to match up to Nelson''s Willeeeee.
agree "Club is still making a loss. Need a manager who can get more out of what we have got." But who would want to come in and take over - apart from us posters here?
Happy to have a crack at it myself Couldn't do any worse, I wouldn't doggedly start Washington every game, and a would at least get a free seat every match
Your implication that he should not be fired because he's Rangers through and through is a bit idiotic. I didn't answer your last question was because Stan did before I had a chance to see it. I could re post SBs post and pretend its mine if makes you happy!
But neither Ninj nor I said that we were happy with the management or that he should not be sacked simply because he's Rangers through and through. He simply asked as I have done many times before what plan B is? I'm not asking you to read between the lines. You clearly put two and two together and make five. I'm just asking that you put forward an alternative. For the record, I was not in favour of Holloway being reappointed. But the mere fact that he was should enable us all to work out that there weren't really that many candidates out there who were willing to take the job at all. Or do you believe that Fernandes had very capable managers begging to be given the chance at the time and turned them all down. 15 months later, I cannot see what has changed in that regard. Can you?
If Ollie is fired, then who would want this job? Years of mismanagement by various managers has left this club in a mess. Chirs Ramsay had less than a year before JFH who then brought his players in, Ollie then comes in and decides he doesn't want a JFH team and has to off load. Hughes and Redknapp wasted money on players and paid them a silly salary which virtually meant that no one else would want them, Think Caulker as an example. The boy had enough talent to be a regular first teamer but for whatever reason it didn't work out. Then we could not off load. However if I was being paid £40k a week and had the luxury of a 4 or 5 year deal, would I really be in a rush to leave if the next job did not pay as much? NW SHOULD have been given more time in the Premiership but... I want my team to play well, and win well. I want the performance to be exciting with players wanting and playing a pass and move game. Above all I want players giving 110% for the shirt, and a manager that leads by example.
You claim to have coined the 'happy clappers' description, Ellers. You don't have to put it in quote marks.
Im sure Dave Mac said we were close to the line with current FFP, hence the departures and no incoming players. Surely another breach would be catastrophic. I guess it would also be costly if they gave Ollie the chop as well so it's almost an impossible situation. My guess is they will keep Ollie and hope we somehow survive and then reassess in the summer.
I think that our appeal against the fine is based on £40 million being unreasonable given the current financial situation at the club. So Hoos has got to try and balance the books to prove we are no longer living on massive handouts from the owners. Consequently we can’t sign players.
