I've been obsesessed with these Indie/Punk gals (especially Corin Tucker...) since watching them on Jools Holland..Later a couple of years ago... This is the song that they were performing from their album No Cities To Love. their first after a hiatus of ten years...
This is even more relevant since that paranoid delusional bigot became the leader of the "free World"...
This is a terrific track and thanks for posting. I had not heard this before. Grappelli improved as he got older and I much prefer this work to the recordings with Reinhardt. Incidentally, I saw the pianist Michel Petrucciani perform a solo recital at a concert venue called The Circus on Copenhagen back in 1996. It is worth pointing out for people which are not aware that he was severely disabled and stood no taller than 3 foot tall. He was incredible and whilst I was shocked when I saw him try to clamber on to the piano stool. The gig was amazing and the stamina of his playing made a massive impression.
Well I'll do it to celebrate Jack Stephens birthday and his FA Cup goal. Plays slightly too fast, but the video is OK. Happy Jack - The Who.
