Well that near enough sums it up, hes off the QPR. No time to wither and moan, got to push on and look towards a replacement. Who do you lads think we will end up playing there? Cabaye and Tiote could take up residence in the middle with HBA and Jonas on the wings with two up top. Seems logical? I really cant see us replacing him in all honesty until at least January.

Obertan/Marveax on the wings seems also reasonable, with HBA behind a forward.

Now you're getting into Bruce territory.

We've got plenty already at the club. Just concentrate on LB and ST.

    Barnetta.

And seriously , if we don't sign at least 3 players before the window closes , I'm going to take the next flight to London and smash Ashley's face with a brick.

Wasn't Jonas a right winger? Isn't that his natural position?

Put Jonas on the right and Marveaux on the left. Marv looks like a real top player, and if Barton goes, we have a space to add him into the mix.

He gets ideas in his head, once they're in, they don't go away.

Jonas' natural position is on the left.

Marv has played on the right before for Rennes, seen him there a lot in youtube compilations.

Somebody, I think Smudger, recently pointed out that Jonas on the left has something extra by being able to cut in sweetly and use his right foot. Not sure if that would transfer quite as well to right wing, but maybe his crossing would improve, who knows.

Id cry if we end up with Bridge, Carlton Cole and Ireland on loan. I really would. This is a worst case scenario however I doubt Ireland would be welcomed back.

Now the 4 5 1 formation works. (pardew get Barnetta!)

    Tiote
    Cabaye-Hatem Ben Arfa
    Marv-Jonas
    Ba/Maiga

Jonas' natural position isn't the left!

The only reason he was played there was because nobody else could and he had a great partnership with Jose. Now we've got Marv and HBA and Enrique is gone there's no reason to keep him there.
