Good Morning Everyone What on earth were the hierarchy thinking yesterday? Have they lost the plot? Even at lunch time was telling Talk Sport more or less that the Leeds fans had selected this design, and it would would be changed! (As a matter of fact 10,000 Leeds fans were given a questionnaire asking them what is meant to be a Leeds fan. None of the fans I have spoken to were shown any LUFC crests or designs). please log in to view this image talkSPORTVerified account@talkSPORT 17h17 hours ago New-look Leeds United badge will NOT be scrapped despite negative fan reaction, insists club chief tlks.pt/vrj7Vz They say 24 hours is a long time in politics; well, 6 hours is a long time in Leeds football. Come teatime, Kinnear was back on the radio with his tail between his legs waving the White flag. Given the choice of the crests below, which is your favourite? Leeds United new signing Kamil Miazek has joined Leeds United’s training camp in Spain even though he has not yet been officially unveiled by the club, according to Leeds Live. The Trinity Mirror football site claim the young goalkeeper has joined up with United’s senior squad at their retreat in Murcia this week. Leeds Live report that Miazek is one of two “surprise” faces at the training camp along with Dutchman Ouasim Bouy, who has recently returned to the club after a failed loan spell at Cultural Leonesa.
Morning all... as a kid I remember drawing the 73/76 badge on all my school books, it has a place in my heart as I started supporting the club back then. Looking at it now it would make the cut. I quite like them all since 77 if I had to pick, I’d give joint first to 81/84 and 84/98 I would drop the AFC though, no need for it
Ah the joys of 'Focus Groups' a bit of 'blue sky thinking' which is great until you select idiots or people with no idea about the club to sit on it. Then after you make a shyte judgement go pay a marketing company to design it. The so-called 10,000 people were not fans they were family members from the superstore and staff, parents of academy kids. Real fans should have been asked and once you filter out the pole-dancer, or the barrel of beer you get an idea of whats Lesson learnt I hope If the keep is a Pole I have seen him being unveiled last month and hes supposed to be very good. Wonder if BPF isnt cutting it? plus stories of Lonegran may be sold? The Bouy guy sounds like trouble, a lot of trouble and another bad buy. Lets hope I get proved wrong and he is actually as good as hes supposed to be. May be some transfer activity today I hope
Seems BPF is in Sweden for a 3 day trial so may be gone, plus story about Lonegran wanted in Sunderland as part of a deal for one of their players?
Morning all. Why did crest need such a RADical change? See what I did there lads, very clever.Anyway, the old established PL clubs only ever seem to make minor changes to theirs. Liverpool,Scum, Spuds, Arsenal have been similar as long as I can remember and thats a fair while. In fact, I could have a fair go at drawing them from memory. I dont believe in changing stuff just for the sake of it
Good morning all, must admit i like the 84/98 badge reminds me of european football,i have a long memory sigh
Good Morning to Matt and co from a very ssunny Bardsey I rather like the first on still got programmes with that on the front I would swap Lonegren with Duncan Whatmoreprovided he is now fit after his bad injury all day and with time now running out we are still no nearer getting a striker The young striker from Bradford has now come in contention which reminds me the last time we got a striker from Bradford and he was very good John King McCole I still prefer Marriot though I see that PF has gone to Sweden for a trail seems he is no longer part of the future
cool not only have we beaten you twice and took 6 points you give us a refund was it because they had to watch your lot
Yes we are giving £10,000 to every millwall 606er that went, can you work out what 10,000 x Fook all is.
badge change is necessary, the Ridsdale crest is just bad luck ... the club took the salute to heart, quite rightly, but the creative agency took it too literally and missed the point ... good thing is that at least the club is listening, whereas at Bates or Cellino would have called the 70,000 petition signers morons and carried on with it ... I think the Smiley was the most iconic Leeds United badge ever, and instantly recognisable BPF away on trial may mean to look at a loan where he gets game time ... if he is a talent then the club won't want to give up a good homegrown prospect very easily ... if he is sold then he wasn't improving as for Buoy, don't understand the comment of him being trouble ... he was a bright young talent at Juventus who was given a four year contract extension after his initial two year deal, and only a bad injury blighted his time there ... he can play as a centre back or a holding mid so good time for him to return ... if he has recovered mentally from his injury then we may have a player ... the fact that he's still in the game shows he has desire having endured torture recovering and all the hard work it took to get back now for that £50m striker to land so people can complain about wasting money Leeds don't like the colour red!! Understand?
Oh dear, hope my u23 match report from the other night hadn't done for him. As I recall I said he was toast if he continued to distribute the ball like that. Sorry son!
Billy have you followed the scapades of Bouy? He played once was subbed went missing, went back, went missing again. He was at war with his club and just walked out? I call that trouble. Lets hear what the club say about it and hope he was miss treated or something, but dont hold your breath
As far as the badge is concerned, I cannot see past the Yorkshire Rose. It IS the club, IMO. The fact that 'Yorkshire!' is chanted by the fans surely adds to it's place in our hearts - and yes, I know I'm Scottish, but I've lived in Yorkshire for 27 of my 59 years. Anyone ever heard 'Smiley' being chanted? No, me neither. Simply replacing AFC with 1919 is all that's required to fit the centenary requirement.
