I agree it is the minority, but it is the vociferous minority. I think because the majority are not just the ones that hold the completely opposite view, but also include the 'wait and see because we wish Saints well' group. .
Well if Saintsweb is anything to go by we are royally ****ed. This guy is a complete donkey because Pellegrino wants him and he is a clueless moron. As for my expectations I am pretty pessimistic overall and have never heard of this guy, which is unusual as I do watch an unhealthy amount of football. Therefore I am not expecting anything from him, which I guess is negative, but until he shows he can perform for Saints I will be indifferent towards the signing.
Oh come now, some of you are being as dramatic as the doom-mongers. This player, may well turn out to be pretty decent, but that will mean little if we go 1-0 up to Brighton, then chuck it away with some scared clueless second half performance. I'm hoping we have all learned a lot from the Spurs game, but I have seen the pattern before. I'm truly terrified. I don't blame the people who are losing faith, as I don't get annoyed by the people who blindly follow.
Ah so he has a wife. Maybe she's read Bill Bryson's assessment of a part of Hampshire* and decided Monaco looks a better place to live. * In The Road to Little Dribbling Bryson describes his citizenship test and suggests that the first question should be "Now that you've seen Eastleigh, are you sure you want to become a British Citizen?" As someone who spent part of my childhood there I felt this was a reasonable question
Have we not reached the point of the season where the only two questions we should ask are a) does he have two legs and b) does he have a pulse? All this technical malarkey - pah, do you think Les knows the answer? No, hang on, even question a) might be pushing it.
Just wonder if SSN will stop talking about Sanchez and Utd long enough and actually mention something about this transfer...........I am not holding my breath.
Good replacement for them. I like Slimani, think he is a very good target man. Similar price to Carillo as well, surprised we didn't go for him really. Wages probably an issue.
You jest. He will be in bubble wrap until he bursts onto the scene next Wednesday in a game that matters.
According to @Tanziloic (Verified RMC Sport journalist) Carrillo in England last night. Medical today.
There's a more relevant comparison there too. There is no such thing as a perfect house. You make a list of everything you really want and then buy the one that results in the fewest compromises. No doubt we'd like to sign Ronaldo but then I wouldn't mind living in a palace either. Neither will happen.
I wonder if Guido knows that he has to score within 15 minutes of debut. He should also be made aware that groaning whenever you make the slightest error is the British way of offering encouragement.
