    It's kind of a shame that he's more likely to get punished for it because he isn't high profile like the two you mentioned. Then again he makes loads and he's only being punished due to his greed, so its probably not that much of a shame.

    think it's because different tax laws in spain. They can pay off their tax mishaps and get a suspended sentence which i believe they decided to do

    In spain any jail sentence of 18 months of less (I think) you can pay off. Massively favours the rich of course.

    Sinilar to how Bernie managed to avoid jail for fraud by paying a fine... no irony in that one.

    <ok> Could you see Hazard, Kane, Ibrahimovic or someone of that stature going to prison here for the same crime though? Maybe I'm being cynical but I just can't see it.

    We all work(well most :bandit: ) and we have to pay our taxes etc.

    You are a couple of weeks late on council tax etc it's straight to court.

    Glenn Murray is the tip of a gigantic iceberg, there's no way those at the top are all paying what they owe.

    It's all gone quiet on the offshore tax avoidance scheme investigation by HMRC, but it's not just the Gary Barlow's they're after, tax dodging is every bit as bad as benefits fraud, probably even worse considering the amount of money between the top and bottom in society.
