Netherlands Overtake Spain in FIFA rankings.

Name me 8 European sides who do better than England in major tournaments.

 

Germany,Spain,Portugal,Italy,Netherlands,Sweden,Norway,France,Switzerland thats 9 i could go on

 

Germany, France, Holland, Portugal, Spain Italy, - Apart from Italy who use to have quality players/teams there all better than you atm and are also technically better than you aswell. I don't think there are others though. Brazil/Argentina and Now Uruguay are also better than you, so you should be ranked about 11/12, i.e. a last 16/2nd round team

England would ruin Sweden, Norway and Switzerland.
Italy and France embarrassed themselves in the last World cup. More so than England, at least.

The England team couldn't ruin it's own linen. Over hyped, over paid, over indulged, under achieving. You guys have the players but lack a team.

Norway haven't even qualified for a tournament since Euro 2000. Switzerland didn't even get out of their group in the 2010 world cup. Same with France. Sweden didn't qualify for the 2010 world cup. Italy finished bottom of their world cup group. Portugal were knocked out at the same stage as England in the 2010 world cup. So no, I don't think these countries deserve to be ahead of England in the rankings.

FIFA have worked out a formula for ranking football teams and according to that formula England are 4th. You can whine on all you want about where you think England should be ranked but unless you can come up with a better formula you'll have to lump it. Perhaps the teams that you think should rank above England haven't been all that consistent in recent years whereas England have mostly beaten teams ranked below them.

 

That was awful, thumped them in Switzerland though.
