When they consulted 10,000 fans, you can’t tell me they saw the end result. Probably a questionnaire asking fans what “Leeds” means to them. Probably never mentioned a new badge, never mentioned or asked a “what do you think to this design”... I’d love more details on this 10k fans and how much money was wasted on the designer or media team behind it.
Something funny going on with this petition. It was at almost 40k when I signed it, then back down to 37k when the wife signed it. Not that she knows anything about it, right enough! I think you've nailed it. If you look through their development process, it's all about the need for change. There is no mention of consulting on the end result, just the need for change. I personally disagree with them about the Yorkshire Rose. I love it, and I'm a Scot!! We, Leeds, owned it! We had our full name on it. Using their reasoning, Arsenal should never have used a cannon, as it was used for other things!!! Load of bollocks. I'm getting angrier by the minute.
