If Major wishes to believe that being enthusiastic and having a charming personality means that Katrien Meire was a good CEO for Charlton Athletic, then let him believe that. If the cold reality of eight head coaches, mass demonstrations, a humiliating relegation and 20,000 empty seats at the Valley is less important to him than how much KM loves the Club, then nothing anybody says will get through to him. For the vast majority of Charlton fans the quality of Meire's time as our CEO has nothing to do with what a nice person she is, but rather the results of the policies she implemented as the highest authority at the Club. She and Richard Murray were the Board, and the results of four years on their watch are plain for everybody in SE7 to see. But all of that is coming to an end now. I hope Major and others like him will be willing to come together with other Charlton fans after the takeover, and reunite behind our Club and the new owners. We are all fellow Charlton fans after all. What unites us should be far stronger than what has divided us in the past.
