Sadly, you don't have any evidence of said allegations so thought about Tommy Gemmell...

CELTIC legend Tommy Gemmell has claimed "bigoted" stars wanted the club to be Catholics-only.

The Lisbon Lion launched an astonishing attack on the former team-mates who branded him an "Orange bastard".

He insists a clique of players targeted him for being a Protestant when he first joined the club.

Gemmell said: "Myself and Ian Young were the only Protestants and if either of us had a bad game we'd get bigoted abuse.

"Certain other players would say 'what do you expect of an Orange bastard?'

"A handful of players at the club could be described as real bigots and they would have liked to see a Celtic side that was 100 per cent Catholic."

Must admit I'm shocked and deeply upset at this. I'm writing to UEFA right now to have the dirty ****s stripped of the title they won over false pretences.

Only one way to stop this ****ishness.... Bring back the 1534 Act of Supremacy and apply it to Scotland.

The Act of Supremacy of 1534 declared the English crown to be 'the only supreme head on earth of the Church in England' in place of the pope. Any act of allegiance to the latter was considered treasonous because the papacy claimed both spiritual and political power over its followers.

Grew up in Glasgow, only time I've ever been called a Hun is on here by people who don't actually seem to know what it means.
As a neutral,my understanding of the term 'Hun' is it came from the shipyards,Germans owned the shipyards and only gave jobs or at least the best ones to protestants, similar story in Belfast,I may be wrong dough.

"Theories are ten-a-penny – there are even suggestions that Rangers fans initially called Celtic fans ‘huns’ because of Irish Republicans’ support for Nazi Germany, and that it was chanted by fans of both teams when the losing side’s supporters were spotted leaving early: “Go home you huns…” One Hibs fan wrote that he recalled singing the same refrain no matter who the visitors to Easter Road."

I recall Rangers fans singing "Go home ya Huns" to Celtic fans.

The simple facts is Rangers fans don't like being called Huns so they decided to make up the myth that it was Sectarian.
