Better news on the injury front tomorrow, with the possible returns of Solly, F-Caskey, Bauer and even Fosu.

Extra stewards have been hired to cope with the bumper crowd expected to flock to see Sulley Kai Kai.

<whistle> Just Sell The Club <whistle>

Charlton Vs Walsall was FHB jnr's first Charlton game, the year we won the Championship. We went 0-1 down, but levelled with an Andy Hunt volley, then Graeme Stuart smashed a 25-yarder into the top corner. The squad was full of players like Hunt and Stuart, very good players who loved the club, had real team spirit and loyalty, and who never let the fans down.
Just Sell the Club.

@ForestHillBilly

Walsall will always be linked with Just Sell The Club.

Last season, when we won 2-1 up there under Slade, the away end came up with the loudest and most prolonged version of that song I have heard.

True then, true 18 months later.

I f****** hate Walsall.

Have never forgiven them for throwing me out last season for plonking my Elfsborg sticker on the tea bar wall.

Oh yeah, the postponement after the 2nd pitch inspection as well.

Finally, for the town being a hovel.

Frustrating first half. For 15 minutes we looked sharp and positive, but Aribo's goal lifted us out of a decline - temporarily. The equaliser was pretty embarrassing.

This could be a high scoring draw assuming neither team runs out of gas. Some protest chanting before our goal, first time it has been quite loud this season.

Crowd about 6,000 maybe. It is chilly and grey. The weather isn't too good either.

It was a deserved win in the end, Charlton were much more positive in the second half, and Walsall only got forward occasionally. They had a few decent chances but then we could have scored 6 or 7 ourselves.

A better team might have punished our shaky defending, or rather defending that was often OK but suffered too many lapses, especially when Lennon was involved. But the important thing is we got the job done properly in the end. Mavididi could be our top scorer in a few weeks time.

There were some 'We want Roland Out' chants for a few minutes before Aribo scored in the first half, and a chorus of 'Hey Roland (ooh aah) I wanna know why you're such a cnut'. Not massively loud or long, but a reminder that the fans are not content with RD's current lack of support for the team and his takeover antics.

We badly need promotion, to boost the Clubs value and make a summer takeover more likely apart from the other reasons.
For as long as there is even slim hope of promotion, every win is precious. Well played the lads today (eventually). Blimey it was cold though!

We were average for most of the game decent last 15 .
Fosu made the difference.
As for Reeves how poor is he ...complete anonymous rubbish .

Well another win, and at 1-1 I wasn't very optimistic. I don't kow how much the off the pitch stuff affects the team, though I would guess a lot less tan some would like to paint it. The injuries have been a real issue, though some of that may be a consequence of the thin squad, and having to bring back injured players too quickly resulting in repeat injuries. But we do seem to be coming out of a fairly black period, and three wins on the trot recovers some of the ground with the awfull results (and football) on display in december and november,
None of the teams we have played lately are top notch in our división, but they all had to be beaten and we achieved that despite probably low moral, and I reckon KR and the players deserve a lot of credit for knuckling down and doing the business. The return of Fosu yesterday, and the return of Mavididi could give us a real boost over the next few weeks, and it'll be nice if we can begin to pull clear of our rivals for a play off spot. Another happy sunday at least.
