Main bet of the day is BRAIN POWER in Ascot 3.55. 1 point win. 7/2 bog in a few places.Fairly obvious choice but also know yard strongly fancy it.

    Welcome

They also fancy Monbeg Legend Taunton 2.15, on the drift but 11/4 and finally
    they fancy Santini Ascot 4.05.

My only surprise is that Sir Barney hasn't been on to wax lyrical about these.

Two proper bets for me today both at Haydock, an old favourite of mine and one I've been keeping an eye on this season.

2:05 - Waterlord 9/4. Won last two races on heavy ground, one of those over todays C&D so will have no problems today. May well attempt to make all again and could be difficult to peg back on that ground. Hoping his experience will give him the edge over the Bailey horse.

2:40 - The New One 5/4. Got to love this old horse, been backing him since his Cheltenham bumper days so can't leave him now. Very rarely makes things easy for himself in this race though but may well just have the class to see him home. Support for the Skelton horse probably keeping TNO just about odds against for now, hard to see the old boy not winning this though.

    Singles and double.

I think 100/30 about Irving is decent value today in the 2.15 Taunton. Bryony reduces his impost by a useful 5lbs and he showed with his 2nd in the Fighting Fifth that he still has talent, with the form working out quite nicely in the context of this race (Flying Tiger finished a creditable 4th next time out under top weight at Donny and Mirsaale and Katgary fought out the finish of a class 2 handicap hurdle at Kelso last week). Trip and ground are just what he needs and the drop in class will hopefully allow him to get his head in front again.

can someone tell me if the weights will go up in the 3.00 at Ascot, with the top 2 both NRs?

I can't see beyond Acting Lass, but if he had an extra stone on his back in the mud I'd be a bit less keen.

    Thanks.

Could be, but the v.g. source I know who gets Henderson info hasn't mentioned those. His last 3 Henderson tips were W9/4, W4/1, W13/2 (his posted prices).

No, weights stay as they are. The weights would only go up prior to final decs.
