imo people are getting nasty about both players and it's just a bit much no?

The FA won't announce their decision for another 7 weeks (Man Utd away) so might as well close

 

When racism is defined as allowing yourself to be violently shoved over the hoardings into the stand, then yeah.

 

I think it should be closed except for people of mixed race or African origin.

Good article from EFC Statto from 12 months ago highlighting the struggles EFC had trying to stamp out racism out at their club.
Lots of honest quotes and examples from managers and players, Les Ferdinand was very open about his own experience.

"The hat-trick at Everton [in 1993] was particularly pleasing because I had always had racial abuse at Everton from their supporters. Doing that to them gave me extra pleasure. There are certain things which stick in your mind during your career as a footballer and the racism at Goodison Park is one of them. Probably the worst thing I have encountered in my professional career has been racist letters coming from supporters – most of which, I have to say, have come from Everton fans. After I scored that hat-trick against them over the Easter period, the letters I got back were disgusting."

Liverpool supporters were as bad tbh until the signing of John Barnes, but unfortunately Everton supporters were still giving out racist **** to players for years after that.
I think it's fair to say that our clubs by definition aren't racist but some supporters in ours and Everton's ranks still are but keep it hidden these days because they know they won't get away with it, the vast majority of Reds and Blues supporters aren't racially motivated thankfully.
